Seeing the league table you are 10 points behind Canvey ( with one game in hand ) and 12 points behind Dulwich ( with 2 games in hand) Being a optimistic guy you have to win asap your games and hoping the others won't. Think 30% chance we will do it. what do you think?

The biggest problem we have is that there is such a big gap to overcome simply to reach the safety line, before we can even start thinking about moving clear of danger. Actually, the biggest problem is that we’re just not very good, but that’s a slightly different matter.
So, given that we need four wins to get out of the bottom four, and however many more to then make sure that we stay up, where are they going to come from?
We still have to play Canvey Island home and away, Bowers & Pitsea away, and Hendon at home, which are surely all ‘must win’ games, but then what? Four of our other five home fixtures are arguably winnable, as is Chatham away perhaps, but on Saturday’s evidence against Dulwich, we do sadly feel rather doomed.
First of all, Bert, do you know you put 30% chance of surviving ? I am sure you meant 3%. I am glad that this forum has come alive again, shame it`s because of the fact we are doomed. You are quite right Sean. But all we need is to win 4 games, isn`t it ? well we have not won a league game at home since November 5th last year, and that was against Whitehawk who themselves are struggling, although like a few of the bottom 6/7 clubs, they all seem to come up with the odd win or two, and before that we beat Chatham 3-2 in a game that ended with them scoring 2 goals in added time, that was October 1st. So the chances of winning 4 games and then needing more to be safe is where Taylor Swift comes into play.( I wish) In the last couple of seasons 39 points have been enough to stay up, that just cannot happen this season, Canvey in 18th place are already on 34 points , so my guess it`s going to be somewhere like 43 points. that`ll be 19 points we would need ( 6 wins). All that from a team who have scored less goals than any other team in the league. I like everyone else desperately want United to stay up, but I think its time to start thinking with our heads and not our hearts, because it really is going to take a miracle to get out of this mess.
Don't think 4 points will be good enough against these two teams around us, in fact I think we need to beat Canvey home and away, also we need to beat Hendon at home and Bowers away just to get out of the bottom 4, a tough ask though considering we have only won 6 games all season.
Three home games coming up, all must win games, I wonder after which of these three will be the one we part ways with Danny ?
He's never been at a club when they were relegated, I wonder if that will continue?
So what you are thinking Mike is that Danny may well "jump ship" before it becomes mathematically impossible to stay up to preserve his CV of never been relegated as a manager?
I hope that he does stay until the last game though just to see it through.
As for next season if we do get relegated I'm not sure if he will stay or not, or whether we will want to keep him as I am not sure how long a contract he has?
I have questioned his tactics though since he's been here, also he doesn't seem to have any meaningful game plan at all other than to hoof the ball up the field as quickly as possible! Our passing game seems to have gone out of the window.
Hi Adrian, yes I do think he will leave before, but like you I hope not, he comes across as being a real nice guy who is obviously passionate about his job. But again like you I agree about the game plan, or lack of, it seems to me when we hoof the ball up field it would be an advantage to have someone up at the half way line, instead of having 11 players in our penalty area, a lot of goals are scored on the break but with no one up there ! well that is probably one of the reasons we have such a low scoring record this season, and of course as you say the passing game is a absolute joke, we struggle to string two passes together, we are constantly giving the ball away in our own half. Not sure how we will even manage in the lower league !
Really fingers crossed time now, if its not too late already.
