Hi, Barnet fan here, I occasionally go to Hadley when I can’t do the Bees.
Interesting tie for me as I have family connections in Hastings, indeed my granddaughter plays for one of the Hastings junior teams.
You will find Hadley to be a very friendly and welcoming club. The ground is situated between Barnet and Borehamwood. Look for the Gate pub (actually it’s more of a restaurant these days. Actor Trevor Howard used to drink in there before he passed away and rumour has it he was often taken back to his home in Arkley in a wheel barrow). The ground is right opposite The Gate which is actually in Arkley.
Despite my links to both clubs I regret I will not be at the match as Barnet are at home to Rochdale on the same day but I will be hoping that the winners get to play the Bees in a future round.
Hadley does have a small bar but if you guys prefer a pub I would recommend The Mitre which is near Barnet Church (main High Street). Also decent pubs are Ye Olde Monken Holt, The Black Horse and the Lord Nelson, all of these in Barnet. I would give Borehamwood a swerve, the pubs there are dire.
