Firstly congratulations to our supporter Tim on winning £228.50 on the 50/50 draw …ticket no 11985.

Also thank you to everybody that bought the matchday programme. We sold out once again, thank you to everybody that purchased a copy, makes Paul Hoggards efforts worthwhile .

As for the game ,although we scored early , thought first half fairly even , but we were the better team second half. Bring on Margate Tuesday night.

Felt it was a comfortable if unspectacular win today. Neither keepers had too much to do once we went two up but I feel our second half ‘game management’ was good and ensured we secured all the points without too many alarms.
Stand out performances for me were Ollie at the back, Adam through the middle and John up front.
Still don’t know where 2600+ supporters have came from today. Maybe 50 came down from Hashtag which most certainly doesn’t explain the increase of maybe 1800 from the Autumn. Anybody ?

Was told 600 school children there today but even allowing for them still a good crowd. Will be interesting to see how many we get Tuesday night against Margate.

Phil, Yes there was an unfeasibly large number of junior school age children behind the goal today.
I’m sure they went home with a much increased vocabulary.

Looking back on Saturdays match ,it was indeed comfortable . However, I felt our 2nd goal was crucial as Hashtag were beginning to get into the game . Also,  Charlie Grainger made a great save keeping us in it.  John seemed unplayable. Some great performances all round.  Tommy Penfold and Sam Gale pinging amazing passes out to John. Entertaining game and what a gate ? I don't know about kids ,but we seem to have inherited a hipster element,,,The Dulwich effect maybe ? 🤔  Ive never seen so many waxed beards 🤣      I can't remember the last time I had to queue to go to the toilet 🤣 And the tea bar queues were even longer . Fantastic.  Great afternoon.

I personally think we need to stop playing comfortable and start scoring more goals rather than play games out goal difference at end of season could prove crucial

Totally agree 2019. I've been saying for ages we should be getting our goal difference rate up. I hate it when we score and sit back, it's asking for trouble and we have come unstuck a couple of times this season through it.

Gary Elphick would go mental if we got to 2-0 and sat back so why doesn’t Aggy?

Enjoyed watching the extended highlights of the game. The Hashtag version of the highlights was interesting too. Didn't recognize the Hastings team from their managers pre-game talk! Fantastic passes out of defence from Tommy Penfold which exposed their slow moving right sided defenders. Happy with the way we controlled the game against another decent side. Margate will be desperate for a result so will need to be prepared for a battle tonight.

Thought that the quality of the video produced by Hashtag was top class, supported by good commentary. Good to see the possession and efforts of both sides. Having reviewed the footage produced by Hastings all season I understand we have yet to concede a goal

That did make me chuckle, Roger.

I have never understood the apparent desire to offer such one-sided social media coverage, never mind the video output, but I know that we are certainly not unique in doing things that way, and we should always be grateful to have volunteers who are prepared to put in the effort to provide the service in the first place.

I also fully appreciate that I was often accused of being too impartial on Twitter and in match reporting back in the day, but there is surely a middle ground that could be located somewhere.

Those privileged to listen to Hastings United Radio today, in lieu of being privileged to be at the game, will have enjoyed a neutral broadcast with a Hastings fan and a Kingstonian fan. Both were knowledgeable about their respective teams . Some of our coverage historically has been reminiscent of Russian newspapers

It's a fan operated radio station. What do you expect?

Exactly Mr Shark, or may I call you Stripes. How refreshing that todays radio offering involved a Hastings fan and a Kingstonian fan and was interesting, balanced, knowledgeable and appreciative of both sides. I am p,eased that we agree.
The reference was regarding video extracts this season that don’t show the goals conceded by zHastings. When Chris Agutter reviews the team performance, to learn lessons heroes t fast forward if the opposition look like scoring as it’s too dull

I don't think we agree, but it's hard to make sense of your post so who knows...

General point: if something at the club is being run by volunteers and you want it done differently or 'better' - get involved. 😁

Tricky now as living in Cornwall but did provide radio coverage on Hospital Radio Hastings and BBC Sussex on match days which is why I was so praising of yesterday’s radio output which was balanced and informed

Would have liked to have seen Kingstonian's goal from Saturday as I thought Charlie had the ball in his hands before the goal. Opposition goals are always interesting to see, but grateful to those doing the filming to see our goals replayed.

To paraphrase the counter view on Facebook
The film clippings are for management use only( yet they are on you tube)
Hastings supporters only want to see our goals and just want to win. Not interested in anything else
The goals conceded footage is withheld so that opposing teams don’t see our weaknesses
Like you,I would have loved to have seen the contentious Kingstonian goal.
It does mean that if we lose 1 0 tonight there will be no highlights as no one wants to see them
I despair
