Just caught the tail end of the broadcast, as I had unavoidable commitments, but really pleased that this initiative has recommenced. From the segment that I caught, it was excellent. Had always said that the task is naturally a two hander
Not the best but I suspect there are big signal issues. I tried to tune into Dulwich Hamlet radio when we played them and their output was inaudible. I was caught out a bit by the timing lag yesterday Football webpages alerted me to full time some 15 seconds before you confirmed the match had finished.
I think one thing to consider is how the broadcasts position themselves. Is it output from an overtly Hastings perspective or is it a neutral BBC impartial offering
Thanks for the feedback Roger. I also update the clubs Football Web Pages so at times it can be quite hard to multitask both hence why I may have been focusing on one more than the other.
I listened to the Margate game on Wednesday morning from abroad live and the signal was good apart from a slight lag as Football Web pages updated the score first before the commentary, but no problem if you are just listening to the commentary only as you wouldn't know anything different.
As far as feedback is concerned I must say that I don't think we need 2 people commentating at the same time as it can sound quite chaotic at times especially when there is goalmouth action.
Having listened to Brighton on Radio Sussex where Johnny Canter does the commentary and then Warren Aspinall does the expert summary. Perhaps the Hastings commentary could somehow incorporate that.
As I say it's not a criticism, just an observation.
