I regret to inform you that Doug Smith died yesterday 2nd March. Doug came from Rye , would have been 95 this month, and had been a supporter since the inception of the club back in 1948 . He would travel over by taxi with his partner Sandra and I would arrange a chair for him to sit behind the goal. One of his favourite memories was having his picture taken last season with Gary ,holding the championship trophy. Doug was a lovely lovely man with a great sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by many supporters. Rest in Peace Doug.
