Great battling performance, thoroughly deserved point. When I saw Jack Dixon and Ryan Worrall sitting behind us in the stand I was worried, but Kian Moynes and Kane Penn played their part , in fact they all did. Enjoyable game.

Really sorry not to be able to make this one as it's one of our shortest journeys.
Sounds like a good, hard won point but the number of injuries so early in the season is a real worry.
Good to hear Kane Penn stepped up to the higher level. No surprise there.
Finally, I see Danny Parrish got a couple of goals for Canvey last night. I guess he was keen to reduce his travelling but I can't help thinking we should have kept hold of him if at all possible.

You could not fault the effort and commitment of all our players. Played Alex, Finn and Craig as a back 3 and all were excellent against some good forwards. Tom and Kane did a great job on the sides while Ben was a real warrior up front. In fact all our players put in a real shift as Folkestone threatened to take control in the period leading up to half time. Second half saw Hastings working even harder to establish parity and the point was well deserved. A few injuries among our players towards the end-hope nothing serious.

A good poin t away to a team that should be near the top at the end of the season. All played really well.
Where was Bailey Akehurst.
Where did Kian Moynes come from (had a really good match).
Dicko hoping to play Saturday.

Kian Moynes is an academy player and I think he had a loan spell with Eastbourne Town last season.
From 60 minutes on we had 3 academy players on the pitch, Kane Penn, Kian Moynes & James Hull and they all played well.
My MOM went to Alex Brefo who had an excellent game and nothing was going to get past him.
I think we got better as the game wore on and limited Folkestone to only half chances.
We had chances as well as their goalkeeper saved with his feet from Kai Brown in the 1st half and Knory Scott in the 2nd half.

Thought Alex was excellent as well but all our defenders were outstanding. I would have just gone for Kane as MoM.

Reading the Folkestone Invicta programme ,good value at £1.50 , had to laugh as some of their games are sponsored by ‘Invicta Meldrews ‘….I don’t believe it.
