Hope we get another big crowd on Saturday and, if we do, a performance to show the "new" supporters what our team is capable of. VCD"s main attacking threat is likely to come from our old player, Mr Bamba. Would love to see Tom Chalmers given the freedom to play wide on the right with Marcus, Kane or Ollie given the full back roles and the responsibility to defend against Bamba.

Agreed Tim, would be great to get another big crowd in. Perhaps now that we’ve wrapped up the title, that bit of tension will have gone and we can play with a bit of style again.

I remember as an 11 year old in 1992 Hastings Town lifting the league trophy at home and how much that stayed with me - hopefully we can make some more lifelong fans in the next couple of home games.

Well done everyone involved.

Would be good to beat VCD after the 2-2 draw at their place.

I hope the players get to do an organised lap of honour with the trophy after the game on Saturday.
However I rather fear a pitch invasion at the final whistle is inevitable.

I am sure that others share this fear. It is a club/ stewarding decision along with approach taken about smoke bombs which now appear regularly

Roger,
I think a pitch invasion at the the final whistle was a reasonable reaction to winning the title last Saturday.
Thankfully Faversham seemed quite happy with proceedings and I think accepted this, and all the confetti, as the inevitable outcome, clearly happy with a good pay day.
Saturday SHOULD be a day when a bumper crowd can all watch and enjoy a lap of honour, with all supporters enjoying the same experience from behind the barriers.
It won't happen.

Do we know if it will be before kick off or after the game.

Very good point Chris... "Celebrate The ‘U’s lifting the
@IsthmianLeague
South East trophy this Saturday on CHAMPIONS DAY!"
This is what it says on twitter. Could be taken two ways.

You've got to laugh.
Before the game the PA system asks supporters to stay off the pitch at the final whistle....the supporters do as they are told.....and then Billy wanders onto the pitch and beckons all the supporters behind the goal onto the pitch.
Anyway, 15 minutes later, once the pitch has been cleared, we can have a presentation which was the anticipated climax to a great day!

A fairly typical Pilot Field match in that territory/possession/chances were pretty much even. But as has happened many times this season we have the resilience not to concede and the extra quality to score when it matters and ultimately win comfortably.
Great work from TC to provide Jack with his goal, a rather soft penalty for Danny and a little moment of Kenny magic did the job nicely.

First, congratulations to Mrs.O’ Mara ,Finns mum who won the 50/50 prize of £243 with ticket 896.
Also great to meet Bill Farnfield who is now 86 . He remembered a lot of the old players Ivan Green, David Ades, Paddy McIlvenny , even the great Tommy Huckstepp and apparently received the great sum of £20.00 per week, which I guess in the 1950’s was not a bad wage.
As for the game agree with Mick, fairly even ,two teams with little to play for ,but we took our chances and won fairly easily.
