Just seen the league have offered teams to cancel midweek fixtures due to fuel shortages hope Ashford don’t accept it

I like to think they don't. The women's team, plus quite a few Hastings supporters managed to make it to Ashford today.

Not good, it's only a gallon of fuel. I guess that could mean Saturday is in doubt?

We need two promotions and ****ing fast, the Isthmian League has become a joke. Another week of petrol panic and they might cancel the rest of the season. The Clowns that run it have ****ed up the last two seasons, will we get to finish this one. What excuses will they start using next? Leaves on the pitch, wind blowing in the wrong direction. Do they need excuses? They just seem to make it up as they fumble along. Absolute morons of the highest degree!

Agree with all of these comments if directed at a Government whose business continuity planning post Brexit has been appalling. Couldn’t even run the Isthmian League, let alone a country

I have no wish to defend the league but they seem to have left it to clubs to decide whether to go ahead tomorrow. Might the decision be because players from both sides have jobs to which they have to travel by car. Fuel is essential and you can understand if those journeys take precedence if there remains a difficulty in accessing petrol/diesel. I do not know if this is a contributory factor but just a thought.

As to Chippenham     train?
