Missed most of first half but what I did see of the game looked a bit feisty.Still 3 points moves us up to 8th.
Congratulations to Mr.Creed who won £218.50 on today’s 50/50 with ticket 37854.
An enjoyable game, though I thought Whitehawk were less of a threat than expected.
Lloyd Dawes had a very good first half, with some excellent touches and pivots, but was less prominent in the second and it was wise to substitute him as he looked to be running out of steam. A deserved MoM for Jack. Kept going for the ninety minutes. As Jackson says above, some imaginative rolling around by some of the Whitehawk players. Fortunately that didn't cost us too much as the referee gave ample indication that he was more than capable of some major act of irrationality.
We really needed the three points to avoid being adrift early on. We can go into next week's FA cup game in a much better frame of mind than if points had been dropped.
Two good goals for Hastings. Wonder if Sam Hasler is related to Terry White. Thought that was Ben Pope's most energetic and effective game of the season and the goal will do him a lot of good. That was an impressive crowd figure and a very useful 3 points.
Much better performance than the Herne Bay game, the right result and far more entertainment for a quite remarkable attendance....which I admit surprised me. Thought we were much the better side first half without really forcing their keeper into a save but creating plenty of half chances with dangerous crosses from both wings. Felt we actually deserved to go in one up with Whitehawk creating next to nothing. Second half produced far more goal mouth incidents and Louis was called into action on a few occasions. That said our goal was deserved and we could easily have extended the lead after that. A few nervous moments followed but 2-0 was a fair reflection on the game. Good to see Ben get on the scoresheet and Sammy was so unlucky with the shot offf the post. Plenty of excellent performances today from individuals. Jack deserved MotM and plenty to look forward to with a level of enthusiasm and support that I haven't seen for fifty years.

Thought the first half was fairly scrappy and wasn't helped with their time-wasting. Second half, I think we came into it much stronger and Sam Hasler, Jack Dixon and Lloyd Dawes (who I didn't recognise without a shirt number) were my standout three today. Although we did play risky occasionally - especially when we were only 1-0 it was nice to see us move the ball up the pitch quicker without having to play the ball to Gary to hoof long each time. Still can't believe how Jack made the pass for that second goal look so easy and was great to see Ben score a thoroughly deserved goal after his unlucky chance earlier. Only 2 home games and attendance is looking really very promising so far. Only criticism from today would have been ref disrupting the flow of the game to often, but other than that, fantastic team effort from everyone. Saturday should present an interesting test for Chris and the team.
Much better display than Herne Bay with the team looking far more up for this game in front of an unbelievable crowd. Hasler, Dawes and Dixon stand out players for me but everyone put in a shift and it was a great team effort. Surprised Whitehawk weren't stronger and they obviously tried their best to disrupt the game with rolling around. But the lads kept their composure and good that we created a lot of chances.
Slightly off topic but not heard anything about the new stadium for a while now. Is it happening? I think the new stadium was very small, 2000 capacity? With crowds growing at this incredible rate is this going to be a backward step?
The original concept of the new ground was that it would be phased and modular and would expand as funds allowed and needs arose.
However my recent review of the Planning Poral suggests that there are flood objections regarding the site, an£a club update would be much appreciated
