Thanks for the invitation to comment
I have dipped into some of these and generally have enjoyed the content. The amount of work that goes into this, I recognise as being significant. Thank you
Generally, I find the podcasts overly long which is a discouragement to listening. A big commitment to sift through conversation that can get clubby and repetitive, to extract news items
I would much prefer a punchier review of last week at the Pilot Field, or last fortnight, leaving the option for the listener to stop listening at that point. The podcast could then continue with the more discursive content for those who wanted to hang on in. There is a danger that it becomes the clubs main information update, which is should not. For example, any update from Billy on ground progress should not just be limited to the podcasts as this excludes supporters who don’t listen.
There is an audience for behind the scenes information that is accessible and relatively brief. If it could be met outside of the podcast, or as the first section of the podcast as a crisp opening section, I would welcome it.
Finally I did smile at your exchange with Tim Booth Jones. A clubby culture can develop which can become self congratulatory and resistant to criticism, and not respectful of history. The podcast should allow itself a cutting edge with the option of constructive criticism

Thanks for your comment Roger i do this on my own as like you im just a fan. I think ive stated on many occasions i would like input and contributions from fellow fans be it for upcoming interviews or just general engagement and that offer remains open for all on here, hopefully as time passes that will happen 😁.

In answer to your comments, i think your right about it being too long and thats something that i will carry forward into the new season.

As for the club not getting info out to people that dont listen to the podcast i dont work for the club im inquisitive and i ask questions so i dont see why this is anything to do with me? everyone around the club is contactable.

As for my chat with tim on how we see the clubs style of play and its effects on the crowd what has that got to do with the podcast? i speak as a fan this is my opinion (i make no apology about my love of AggieBall...ive said its helpt me fall in love with football again) ive been going to live football since the age of 7 im 47 now...ive watched football at every level in england (not on tv) and across europe is my fan view not valid ? again its just my opinion it doesnt mean IM RIGHT and HES WRONG ...as clint said opinions are like arseholes...everyone has one

I would love a conversation on that on the podcast...i have asked for all fans(multiple times) views since i started this a year ago(if people dont reply/cant be bothered i dont know what else i can do really)...i want this podcast to represent our great fan base and will continue to put out the invite.

Would love to talk football on the show(or at the PF) with anyone on here...theres multiple ways we can make that happen that im happy to try and make happen

writing this after just getting my ten week old to go off after a 3am wake up so i hope it is not mistook as a grumpy reply i for the sake of the podcast would love more fans to engage with it as with more diverse opinion it becomes more interesting for the listener but also for me...i might learn a thing or two on the way too

Perhaps I should have been clearer.
The gist of my response was around the culture and tone of the podcast rather than specific issues around style of play. I used the exchange with Tim as an example
I couldn’t comment about style, as since moving to Cornwall in 2014 I haven’t seen a game in the flesh.
Like Tim though I did watch pretty much every game since 1962, covering matches for local radio on the last 15 years.
Neither was I laying at your door issues around club communication.
Yes you are a fan but it gives permission to question as well as appreciate.
Some of the great Fanzines do just this in my opinion. Sure, they wax lyrical that so and so is a legend but they also ask the difficult questions alongside the superlatives

i havent engaged with tim on the podcast so i dont understand this point and i speak as ME on this forum i just post my podcast up here to try and widen the listenership...although i would love to have any of you on it.

what difficult questions are you refeering to? No one asked the club a thing before i came along ...other than grumble on a website . Im no shill for anyone ...with the distinct lack of engagememnt im getting...please tell me what i need to be asking..ive been asking that question for a year now

the great fanzines dont exist anymore and also had more than one person producing them that ...we all used to read them back in the 80's and early 90s..quick point there

Hi Chris just wanted to say even though I've never featured on your podcast before, I enjoy listening to it when I have the time. One element of the podcast which I think is great is how you interact with fans/coaches which are not only from HUFC but within the area. Certainly it offers a different perspective and enables others to express their opinions on certain things. (Then again that's the idea of a podcast).

I have a couple of suggestions - not negatives but here they are.

1) Like Roger, I've seen the duration of some of your podcasts last over an hour - so maybe keeping it at 30-50 minutes at most.

2) More of a match day thing probably but for those unable to attend games, some matchday commentary and/or interviewing supporters pre-game and post-game and then have it uploaded somewhere on a website devoted to the podcast. I'd be happy to help you out with something like this.

Other than that I can't think of anything else. I might consider contacting you at some point soon about featuring but in the meantime keep up the great work.

Thankyou for your feedback and your definitely welcome to come on kind sir 👌

Multiple ways you can contact me here.. Twitter @hufcpodcast email hufcpod@gmail.com

As for points... Yes runtime needs to come down definitely, as for match day would love to get a roving reporter thing going if anyone wants to join in on this would happily provide recording equipment etc as I wear many hats and occasionally would like to just relax and enjoy our U's 😁 but great ideas.. I'll get my thinking cap on see what I can make happen 😁😁
