This is not a Hastings Town/United programme but may create a bit of interest. I shall explain:
I am always adding to my Hastings programme collection, and have various outlets and contacts that I purchase from. Quite often they contact me when they get something in that they think I may be interested in. This was the case with this programme.
The vendor in question had bought a consignment of Hastings United programmes at an auction, and tucked in the middle was this one, "Cosmos v Jets". As my name appears in the programme, he realised it must be related to me, he was correct.
Myself and my friend Paul Mockridge created this programme, as well as the team, as 13 year olds in 1977. We used to be two rival groups of lads who used to meet up every Sunday morning over at Silverdale playing fields, for a (not always) friendly game of footy.
There was only ever ten of these run off by my Mum on her works photocopier, she was not happy at doing them as she could of got the sack! And this is the first time in 43 years that I have seen the programme. I could not believe that someone had actually held on to a copy. It had to be one of our team, as we never has enough copies for anybody else. Who? I have no idea, I wish I did. Back then in 1977 most of us from both teams would grace the Pilot Field on a Saturday to watch the old Hastings United.

I have always had a love for programmes and feel they complete the match day experience, even if was for just a kick-a-bout 43 years ago.
