Not a game that will live long in the memory.Poor performance against average team. O.K  at the back but little creativity in midfield  and few chances for poor Ben Pope up front. Even our penalty was given for a foul outside the area.

Man of the March was the old boy on their PA system....He was priceless.

Very poor show by both sides, and for us this lack of creativity is looking more than a blip, and a problem that needs sorting quickly or our chances of winning the league will diminish rapidly. I don’t think I have ever seen a Hastings side create so little in 4 games than we have so far this season. (That includes all of our relegation and mediocre seasons). OK we kept a clean sheet but there was an element of fortune in that. The draw was the right result, hopefully the return of a few players will help, just let’s hope we aren’t to far adrift from the top when they do return.

Wasn't at Faversham so can't comment but it will be a disappointment for Chris and the players not to pick up 3 points. In the 3 matches I have seen Hastings have played well, worked hard and generally controlled the play without necessarily creating chances to score. Possibly we are a bit predictable sticking to the same formation and style of play. Thought this worked well against Cray and Chesham who found it difficult to play against. However, many sides will probably sit back and watch us pass the ball around without threatening the goal. What we need to do now is to rediscover the pace and urgency in our attacking play that was evident in many of our games in the first part of last season. Early days yet and with the effort and spirit being shown by the team the wins and attacking fluency will soon return.
