Really looking forward to this....the team with the best home record against the team with the best away record. Should be a real humdinger. So get the Christmas shopping done early , or don’t bother and get down to the Pilot Field . Don’t forget to buy a Matchday Programme and 50/50 ticket.

Enjoyed watching Chichester in their FA Cup run. Hope they will be suffering from something of a cup hangover tomorrow!

Don't think Chichester were suffering from any cup hangover, Hastings were just too good for them on the day. Brilliant first half performance and a great win. Been very good entertainment at the Pilot Field this season-hope we can keep it going.

Cannot give any higher praise than say I’ve been going to the Pilot Field for 35 years and first hour was right up there with some of the best performances I’ve seen 👏👏👏

We won't get a finer chance to win this league like we have this season! We look very difficult to stop. Come on you U's.

How on earth did they manage to pick a MOM , everyone put in a complete 100% even Louis on the very rare times he was needed. A massive thanks to all

Yes, the team deserved all of the superlatives today. We really are in a good position at the moment. Great credit to Chris and the management team especially for the way in which the team as a whole and individuals have developed.

Have to agree with rev59 ,could have picked almost anybody for man of the match but well done Lanre. Superb first half. What I particularly like now is that Chris can bring on substitutes without upsetting the balance of the team.

Agree with John, one of the best first half performances I’ve seen in the last 32years.

How good is Ryan Worrall by the way? Hardly gets a mention on the forum but a magnificent player!

Can't add too much more to what's already been said.
The first half was possibly the most complete and clinical 45 minutes I have ever witnessed from a Hastings team.
The second half was inevitably rather an anticlimax after what had gone before but no-one went home disappointed. To be honest we probably made many more clear cut chances against Phoenix Sports than we did today, but no matter, that was another afternoon of quality entertainment.
Agree than Ryan Worrall was outstanding today....add Jack back into the midfield and we are going to be a handful for anyone.
Exciting times !

Its early days still but you usually have the first dozen games or so as the let's see how we're doing benchmark. And its not bad at all eh? Two big signings have made a big difference - Elphick and Stone. We have a great combination of experience and young uns and massive credit to Chris Agutter and his coaching team. And the club people past and present who have given him time.

Nothing's been won yet but yesterday was something else. Chichester looked a decent side but United were lethal where it mattered and specal mention for the Rogers save at 3-0. Superb goal keeping. Well well done all of you.

Very impressed with the speed and intensity of our play yesterday. We kept Chichester on the back foot all through the first half and whenever we didn't have the ball our pressing to win the ball back was relentless. Hope we can keep this up against Sittingbourne and Ashford this week.

Yes, it was the work-rate that impressed me too. We all know that we can play some lovely football, and we did, but the strength and aggression of that first half hour was absolutely phenomenal. Having a senior player like Sam Adams who's prepared to graft that hard really helps to set the tone; Adam Lovatt was as good as I've seen him, Ryan Worrall not far behind. Love watching Lanre Azeez this season too, so switched on, hungry and energetic when we don't have the ball, a real example for creative players of how to contribute throughout the ninety minutes rather than just in fits and starts.

Positive from Davide Rodari too, I thought. Well-taken goals, obviously, but there was an early occasion when he got pulled back and battled on rather than taking the free kick, and that's good to see. There was much less fuss and much more football from him yesterday, and we didn't miss Ben Pope as much as I'd expected we would.

Another player who has really progressed in the last few weeks is Ollie Black. I had him as a fringe player whose main asset was a long throw. However playing along side Elphick and Stone I assume he has learned a lot and is a far better player. Good luck to him.

You're right Phil, been watching him for a while now, has really come along, hardly ever makes a mistake, worked really hard Saturday, made some important tackles, hope he is alright, he was hobbling quite badly with 10 minutes to go on sat. wish him the best, fast becoming one of my favourites to watch.
