I see that we have been drawn away to Brighton & Hove Albion U23 Development team in the 2nd round with the date yet to be confirmed.

According to the Brighton Website the U23s play their home games here in Marsh Barn Lane Lancing.

Whether they will use this venue for our Sussex Senior Cup game I don't Know.

Good to see HUFC appearing amongst one or two other half decent teams on the Brighton fixture list !!

Very sensible move for this fixture to be played at Pilot Field. Hopefully there will be a decent gate for County Cup game.

I hope you’re right Geoff but I seem to remember poor gates against Brighton in the past. SSC just doesn’t grab people any more.

Especially when it's only likely to be an u18 /U23 side from Brighton

Yes but an sunder 23 side from a Premiership club has arguably more potential quality than our usual opposition

It is old fashioned, but I still have time for the County Cup.

After their remarkable performance against Whitehawk I wonder whether Chris will be tempted to field a similar team against Brighton.
Surely the SSC is right at the bottom of our priority list ?

Opportunity for fringe players to impress against decent opposition. I feel guilty describing them like that after the Whitehawk display! All credit to the Academy set up.

I see that Kacper Lopata scored the equaliser for Whitehawk against us at the Pilot Field in the Trophy to make it 2-2 and then scored in the Replay at their place to put them 1-0 up at half time.

It's Ironic that he then turns up playing for Brighton U23s against us on Tuesday and scores the first goal!

I think he must be on loan to Whitehawk?
