After the great win against leaders Cray we will travel to threebridgesfootballclub-thumb-204337.jp

Bridges are currently the number 15th in the table with 31 points out of 29 games.

They scored 44 and conceded 60 goals. Topscorer is Akanbi with 8 goals.

Our home game ended 2-1 back in November with 2 goals from Bamba.

Think our last League game away against them was 2 seasons back;on February the 14th we won 4-0.

Bridges play at: Jubilee Field,Jubilee Walk, Three Bridges Road, Three Bridges, Crawley RH10 1LQ

And we? Surely the win against Cray must give the team a big boost. And with the games this weekend: Cray- Haywards and Horsham- Ashford our match against Bridges is a must win game.

Have a save journey and support the team in a positive way.

COYU'sssssssssss!

Looked at the team selection today and thought very strange, yet strongest bench ever. However after 90 minutes I realised why Chris is the Manager and I flog 50/50 tickets. Usual slow start, how many times have the opposition scored first, but after that we took control with three good goals. Some of the Three Bridges tackling could be described as ‘ rustic’. Apart from Louis penalty save the second half was a bit of anti climax , I was expecting another few goals. I understand that sometimes it’s harder to play against 10. Three points against Ramsgate please.

Great result today only result that went against us is Haywards Heath drawing.

Before the games today I looked at the tables in the 7 leagues concerning us.

we had 1.86 ppg

Teams in 4 leagues have a much better ppg to us who are in current playoff spots,

The 2 leagues leagues that we are competing with for the final playoff qualification spot is Evostik East and Evostik west league

I feel that if we can pick up 4 wins from our last 5 should be enough.

Il update all the leagues ppg tables in the morning and will update every game

Disciplined performance today after yet again going behind but got the job done without playing as well as last week, terrible tackle on davide definitely a red card and on to next week with 3 wins in a row just at the right time

A professional and disciplined performance today in the face of a pretty rugged Three Bridges side.
It took a while for us to settle down on a less than easy surface but once we got our passing game going and started knocking it about there was only ever going to be one winner.
The three well taken goals came in about a ten minute spell in which the home team had a player sent off.
Probably should have had at least two more second half but our finishing let us down and when Rogers saved a penalty about 15 minutes before the end we began to feel comfortable.

Very rarely do I comment at length on our opponents. However I will make an exception today.
I can't recall in all my 50 years of following Hastings seeing such an ill-disciplined side. I'd love to know how many free kicks they gave away and a good number of these were for pretty violent challenges. On each occasion the young referee, who in my opinion generally had a pretty good game though rather lost his nerve second half, was surrounded by the home team complaining, abusing and intimidating. If Hastings comitted an offence they again surrounded the ref baying for a card. When a Hastings forwarded (can't remember who) ended up on the deck in their area following another robust challenge, the home keeper decided to stand over him screaming abuse. For those of us standing about three yards away it most certainly was not a dive and looked a very good penalty shout. Have to say I was pretty appalled by his behaviour and others felt the same. Another day they would have finished with eight men.
I do at least now understand why so few locals ever bother to go and watch them.
Embarrassing !

It was davide who went down in the box with the usual scream when he gets fouled (he needs to stop that) but it was a penalty but the reaction from there keeper completely out of order and that tackle on davide for the red card was nearly GBH still they got what they deserved nothing
