After the very disappointing result against Herne it is now against
Guernsey are currently the number 14th in the League with 24 points out 21 games.
They scored 30 and conceded 40 goals. Top scorer: Loaring with 10 goals.
Remember our away game this season: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/match/2018-2019/isthmian-football-league-south-east-division/guernsey/hastings-united/113350
And we? Yeah that was poor against Herne and the only positive about this that this is almost impossible to play worse......
Guernsey will be a tough match because they are unbeaten now for 5 away matches( won 3 and drew 2 ) So hopefully the crowd will be the 12th men to bring a positive atmosphere in The Pilot Field!
Work til 2pm on Saturdays but hope to get out of work early so I can at least watch the second half. If I do get there early enough to watch 2nd half is it free after half time as don't fancy paying £10 to watch 30 minutes of football. Anyone know?
Second half should be 45 minutes unless referee has difficulty in reading his watch
Really looking forward to the game from my Cornish home, for the first home game of the season
A snip from Guernsey fc tv at £15
You may be happy Bert, but I'm not, we had them right where we wanted Them in the first 20 mins and let them get the better of us, should have easily won, then threw it away.

Not sure whether I should be happy or disappointed. Happy with our heroic effort last 20 in rescuing a point, but disappointed that we couldn’t beat an absolutely dreadful Guernsey side. A Guernsey side so dreadful they got even worse against 9 men and we perhaps should have won it last 10 mins. Not sure Charlie had a save over the entire 90mins and we really should have had the game wrapped up first half even though we were nowhere near our best.
The two sending offs were completely warranted and unnecessary and was actually suprised Ollie Black was not substituted at half time as was pretty average today.
Massive effort from the 9 though but with Horsham on the horizon this was a big 2 points dropped.
Both sending offs were correct decisions... I was sat right next to both incidents ...as John was saying maybe Ollie should have been substituted for Climpson at ht seeing that he had already been booked. A few seconds before Dixon got sent off their big number 9 had a few verbals with Jack and the argument continued off the ball. I actually said to my brother "watch Jack lose it now" .... Red mist decended and that was that .. We should have put the game to bed in the first half . Guernsey seemed clueless when we went down to 9. So a definate 2 points lost for me rather than a 1 point held onto . Does anyone know what's happened to Bamba.? .. He's half the player he was a few months ago when he came on .. For the first time for quite a while I'm starting to think we may slip out of the play offs if we don't pick up soon . Teams breathing down our neck, including Horsham, our next opponents.. Its not looking so clever at the moment
Bamba never starts Windy. We were told we were signing the best winger in the league and I think he looked that to start with and got a number of consecutive MOM awards but then got dropped (or may have been injured) and unbelievably last started a league game on the 8th December versus Hayward’s Heath. What is it with Hastings and wingers.
Chris would have approved of the way Guernsey tried to pass their way out from the back. Hastings struggled to get any pace or intensity into their game in the first half. Thought we played better in the second half and even improved when we went down to 10 and 9. Perhaps we should have gone down to 8 and we might have won it!
Can’t say much except the traditional united discipline problems return, along with the ineptitude in front of goal. As for Guernsey probably the worst side seen all season, how can 9 look a better side than 11. Struggling to see that all the hassle of playing them is worth it. On top of that whilst walking back to car was stopped and asked where is everyone going I replied home, as game has finished, oh was the reply, yes it ko at 1, what was score? 1-1 I said. Damn I thought ko was 3 was the final reply. Hope he hadn’t driven far.
