I think I’ll comment on the game when I have calmed down, which could take weeks. Their number 6, Ryan Johnson, was an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment to the game....closely followed by the linesman. After getting Daniel in a headlock twice, and then a third time giving what looked like a pinch to the neck, Daniel pushes him off only for him to collapse to the ground holding his face, then to jump up after the sending off with a smile on his face. Let’s not deflect from a poor performance but I am astounded by what I have just witnessed. And please no one come on here and say otherwise because a number of us watched the whole incident whilst the ball was the other end of the pitch.
I'm glad I've got an answer already as to why Daniel was sent off because I usually have a biased opinion.I thought that Daniel must have given the guy an almighty whack worthy of knocking him to the floor.Absolutely disgraceful refereeing if that wasn't the case.
Was in line with the non incident, he’s a disgrace and a complete embarrassment, if that’s the way he wants to play the game I hope he’s not in it for long, a total ******
3 games, 1 point and 7 goals conceded while most of those behind us won. Hopefully losing 3 of our last 6 will be our slump done with.
One of those days today. We didn't play well and failed to build on the perfect start. Caught out down the right for their equaliser, going behind to a soft goal and as for the deflected decider........ But whatever, we keep conceding goals.
East Grinstead's play acting was shameful, the red card summed it all up and it adds insult to injury that the con artist who got Daniel sent off has ensured a 3 game ban. Was there a camera at the game?
What a frustrating afternoon.

Oh stop having a go at the officials, it’s our manager this should be directed at, it is plain and obvious that teams have worked out how to play us, and to create defensive lapses, we have no answers we have players playing to a style not suited to a few of them and they can’t all cope. Something has to change as if it stays as it is we wil struggle to make the playoffs. Wonder if the taxi has left the rank yet !!!!
Chris B is right to the extent that today's truly awful display from the officials, compounding the cynical gameship of EG, should not obscure the shortcomings of our team's performance.
But please Chris, don't start talking of taxis.
No complaints about officials from me, they make mistakes like everyone, today the linesman was conned. I presume suggesting Chris should go is a fishing exercise? You’d have a less futile discussion on a flat earther forum.
Not at all, if you understand the game you will realise that when a team presses us we struggle and make mistakes, we also struggle to find space and keep hold off the ball. I maintain my point from last season that yes we can be entertaining to watch, but we won’t get out this division playing like this. I believe the players with the addition of a big centre half and a big centre forward is quite capable of challenging but not with this style of play.
Absolutely clueless, can’t believe I’ve just read that, Chris (Aggi) has done a fantastic job since he took over his been a breath of fresh air. We were in 19th place and ended up 9th just missing out on the play offs and now you want him sacked while in 2nd place. Catch up with modern football and realise that the football Chris and his staff have got this team playing is the best way forward. everyone was very quiet when theyd won 10/12.
I have no doubt that Chris wasnt happy with today’s performance and I also have no doubt that he will do everything he can to make sure that next week that’s doesn’t happen again, so rather than moaning and spitting your dummies out the pram let’s get behind this young and exciting team.
On a positive not I wish Adam Lovatt all the best this week and hope he has successful trial. COYUssss!
Been watching too much football on tv I think, this style works at the top because the pitches are better the players are better and they have all week to practice, if there is anyone who thinks we are better now than after game 1 I will be surprised. I haven’t seen every game but is there any other team in the division trying to play the same way, I doubt it !!!
What a thoroughly aggravating afternoon. For me, it's all about their equaliser. At that point, we're already one up, we've got them absolutely penned in, our movement and rhythm is great, we're creating plenty of chances. The idea that that's all part of some grand masterplan on their part, because they've "worked us out", is completely laughable; the game is ours for the taking in that period if we just keep our discipline. We can take the whole contest away from them if we remain patient. Instead, we get ourselves in a position where a single ball bypasses the entire defence...and everything that follows comes from that moment of lost concentration. The whole game turns right there.
We're quite capable of challenging with this style of play. But unless we tighten up, we're in danger of continually undermining the good points in our performances, of gradually losing confidence in what we're doing, and of fulfilling the prophesies of doom. That would be a great shame, and a huge waste.

Not been watching enough football I think, it’s not all about hoofing it up the pitch and heading it and kicking as far as they can.
Cray (who are top) also play the same way hence why when we played them it was one of the best games I’ve watched live.
I was one of many clapping the boys and staff off after the game as I will stick by them through these hard times and believe what they are doing is the right way, we can’t all be wrong.....can we?
Cray don’t play the same way, the only thing they seem to do is not boot it out, but try and play out. Look at goals against if you think that’s playing a similar style then surely our players are doing a lot wrong.
As to managers at other teams not playing a certain style against us then you think so little of them that they just turn up on a Saturday and hope for the best. All managers at our level should know how the opponent is likely to set up and play.
Two Saturdays running we have changed our right back in the first half so possibly a need for a rethink there. Thought our debutant from Gillingham played well and will be a useful addition, if only for a month. Would like to see us be a bit better at stopping other sides from playing before we over commit to attack as it doesn't really take much for sides to score against us at present. Shame the ref didn't see the incident with Daniel as he was taken in by his ridiculous over-reaction. Hoping he was going to get the red card instead.
On the right back situation, I absolutely hate criticising individual players, but it ought to be apparent to absolutely anyone that Mensah is simply not competent to play at right back. It's a great shame, because he has quite a lot of positives going forward and he works hard; but the simple truth is that as long as Chris persists in playing him in that position (which he just cannot keep) we will leak goals.
On Tucker - the chap on loan from Gillingham - I too thought he was pretty good and improved through the game.
On EG's number 6, I will simply say that I hope we never ever have such a player playing for us.
Thanks Chris. I’ll make sure I tell myself, my wife, all the lads that were with me, and those other posters on here who saw the incident that they were hallucinating, need to go to spec savers, and realise their errors....sorry on behalf of all.
So now overwhelming evidence I presume that the poor no6 who collapsed to the ground, held his his face, screamed, rolled around, needed medical assistance and was in such excruciating pain.....may have had his hair pulled! Strange there is no mention of the two headlocks and what appeared to be a pinch or grab to Daniel‘s kneck in the lead up. Just imagine if that had been spotted, no 6 sent off, we go on to win and a happy forum. Small margins........taxi.
I’m pretty sure most of the posts were condemning the actions of number 6 which you agree were not ‘ok’ so what errors are posters supposed to be realising?
Was not at the game yesterday thanks to a cold and the horrible weather. Glad I missed it. Can't comment on the red card but in the post match interview with Chris Agutter he does not defend Daniel at all and says he was naïve. That tells me he does not dispute the red at all. He does not suggest that the East Grinstead player should have been sent off either. From what Ive read on here though both players deserved a red but I suppose it is only what the officials saw. The other thing I took from the interview is that Agutter says that he may have to set up the team differently so maybe there will be a change of approach to try and stop the poor results which surely have cost us in the race to win the league.
Looking back on previous posts, ChrisB, have you ever said anything positive....ever? Even on the posts where we’ve won games comfortably you’ve still found a way to be negative.
If you really look you will find plenty. Also a number of people replied to a tweet Daniel posted in which he apologised for his behaviour, and at least 5 people told him he had done nothing wrong and there was no need to apologise. I think Daniel was honest and should be commended for his post.
Chris, with Daniel accepting fault on his part, I agree that he was right to apologise. His actions put himself in a position where he was vulnerable to some sanction. To the that extent, I accept that my criticism of the officials needs to come down a notch.
But you say 'hair pulling is an automatic red card'. Perhaps you could say where you get that from? Certainly, on the FA website, I can see that 'biting or spitting at someone' is specifically mentioned as an automatic red card offence. No-one suggests that Daniel did that. Otherwise, it seems we have to go to 'violent conduct'. There is a brief section which explains what might constitute violent conduct. There is no mention of hair pulling. What it does say is that if a player 'deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm [he] is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible'. To pull though is not the same as to 'strike'. And, I saw nothing more than negigible contact. Though the officials might well have believed from the actions of the EG player concerned that he had been struck with some force. So, unless I've misunderstood something, I think the wrong decision was made.
I think we all need fuller guidance from the FA on this. We now know that hair pulling is a red card offence...and rightly so, since it clearly caused Mr Johnson a very great deal of distress and only immediate medical intervention prevented him from suffering potentially career-threatening split ends. We really shouldn't mock those who suffer from Sensitive Hair Irritation Tendency.
Perhaps if the authorities were to issue an anatomical chart with a breakdown of the penalties for different types of interaction, then we'd all know where we stand. Pulling hair, as we now know, is a red card. What about tousling, then? Is that a booking? What if it's a particular expensive haircut? And what are the penalties for pinching? Or tickling? Or ear-flicking? We must be told.
Unilad have published an Easter Egg team selected entirely from slap heads
Worth looking up
An impressive line up that has the advantage of not being thwarted by hair pulling
Perhaps an approach to address our dip in form?
Based on what has been posted by those who saw what happened - Daniel is guilty of allowing himself to be provoked by the EG 6 who, having started it all, compounded it with his theatrics. Their 5 did a poleaxed routine - in fact East Grinstead specialised at it.
Whatever Daniel felt the need to hold his hand up for faded into obscurity alongside the con artistry exhibited by East Grinstead. To lose Daniel for 3 games as seems likely rubs salt in the wound.
Feb 23 cannot come soon enough.
