Looks like they will trim the side , obviously promotion is the key

The original plan of only gone from has fallen and we are bringing in players from all over

Good or bad thing ???? If it all goes wrong

What a season this is going to be though 👍

I liked the typo on the club web site heralding Youssef's signing which referred to Chris wanting to sign players who have an 'infinity' with the club!

https://www.hastingsobserver.co.uk/sport/football/local/hastings-sign-best-left-winger-in-league-1-8665228

Looks to be a very exciting signing and a promise of the best right winger around to possibly follow. Best one I've seen this season was the little winger from VCD, think his name was Ayman El-Moyhalbel

So now the guessing game starts, who is off? the three wide men are Ogboe, Golding and Walker Barth, unless we are including Vickers who played wide left on Saturday. I think Vickers is the weakest, but can cover most positions and probably not classified as a wide man. So my take is Ogboe is a given, decent player but not set the world alight and one of the other two. I really hope its not Dajon. Hes a grumpy, sulky git but on his day unplayable and always capable of that bit of magic. Never been won over by Walker but manager has been very complimentary of him over recent weeks so I fear the worst. Whoever it may be its good to see that the club are always looking to improve despite the excellent start to the season and that no player should ever feel their place in the side or squad is a given. Can't wait for Saturday.

Forgot Manny. Do we call him a wide man?

Sound like a great signing. When I started watching the team at the start of last season there was a big announcement that the club was changing the way it was going and using young local players and that the academy was going to be a way for young players to get into the team. I think there were rumours at the time that the club had finance problems. Now the money is back, maybe FA cup? It is a shame for the club as it wants to be a community club but now we go out of town for players but hopefully the players can get promotion and the young players from Hastings get a chance or if not get a chance at other local clubs.

Yes Geoff re the typo! Made me smile.

Can’t see Golding going John, dont forget isn’t that Alex Smith still signed on albeit injured? Possibly he’s one to go now if unlikely to get fit this season? Can’t split Ogboe or Walker-Barth myself so could see either go.

Alex Smith has indeed left the club although I believe we still hold his registration. Massive shame for both him and the club as I think Chris thought he was the best and most exciting signing of the lot. Such a young age for your career to possibly end.

I'm with the club Cliff and the way its moving forward. a nice mix of real quality players, who appear to be turning up for training week in week out, unlike the Hare/Watt era, and youth players given every chance (Fielding, Climpson, Dullaway, Panashe and Rodari when he returns). I don't know a single supporter that thinks we are going in the wrong direction and all I care about is promotion. Crowds increase and new supporters come through the door because you are winning, pushing for promotion and playing attractive football, not because you are playing a team of young, home grown academy players week in week out. The club and manager have it spot on at the minute.

Yes there's a mix John. The football is good to watch unlike the start of last season! I was observing how things have changed from the way the club said they were going to the way things have gone under Chris Agutter. I do think that local clubs are better when there are a good number of local players especially at the level Hastings is and I thought it was refreshing to hear that last year from the club. But the plan of patience has changed and if that is because the club now have more money then it makes it possible until it's impossible again.

Youssef was wearing 11, does that mean Kelvin has gone? Good debut and their keeper kept him off the score sheet with some great saves. Looks to be a good addition to the squad.
