And we? Surely this season hasn't brought what we all hoped for: promotion.Hopefully the young team has learned a lot and
with a couple of experienced players we must play for promotion next season. For now: enjoy the last game of the season and hopefully I will meet some of you to have a cup of tea......
Hope we get a big turnout for this as last nights was pathetic and typical of this town after Sunday's turnout. The players and coaching staff deserve it for their efforts this season and with free entry for those with tickets from Sunday I hope we get a bumper crowd.
The away game was another one of those games where we dominated for 90% of the game and came away with nothing. Horrible first 10 and then they didn't get in our half rest of the game.
Good to see who gets player of the season as well. All the money on Charlie Horlock but think Ollie Rowe or Sammy might push him close.

Just to reiterate.. Bert is driving all the way from Holland for this one . Anyone who wants to meet up with him to say hello, I’m sure he would appreciate it . If you don’t know you can’t miss him , he’s 10 foot tall 😂😂. Sadly I can’t make the game myself , due to a previous arrangement made . Good luck and would be nice to see the team end with another win !!
Disappointing end to the season and just never got going today against a very average Sittingbourne side, who seemed more intent on petty fouls, diving around, and moaning at the officials. They really were a disgrace at times and no surprise to see them below mid table after leading the league early in the season. As for Hastings, thought we were poor all over. Defensively we looked shaky all day and the midfield just never clicked with Crutts having a rare off day and Sonny struggling for much of the game. Antonio and Dajon showed glimpses but their final ball is still so poor. The one stand out player though was Rodari, who was superb throughout. Had very little service or support but battled so hard and looked a class act today.
So another season over and another season stuck in this league. Think Aggy and his staff have really produced miracles this season. We have some really promising youngsters, although no where near as good as some make out, Rodari apart. We play a great style of football, and the atmosphere around the squad appears to be excellent. Now it’s all eyes on the board and how they support Chris moving forward. It’s imperative we keep this squad together and get these guys tied up for next season ASAP. Ollie Rowe, Christie and Sam Beale are an absolute necessity. We then know we need a top defender and striker, and a at least one in the centre of the park. If we get all that, then we will really compete next year, but the board must support the manager, no budget cuts, but fully behind him. Hes the brightest young manager we have had for many years, and a winner, and would be a disaster if we lost him because we cannot match his ambition. The foundations are laid, now we must kick on.

Piss poor officials , not seen a punch like that for ages ... never really sure what the linesman are looking at either ... I clearly saw that punch
They knew we had a structure and a passing game but came to bully us off the game and it worked . We have no muscle up front and missed Jack Dixon today
Well done to Louis Rogers today .... thought Davide played some nice touches today as well
Agree ... we need a bit of experience next year but Chris and his team have been great .... just hope we can move forward with minor changes and don’t face losing key players ... I fear we might
Thought it was a pretty typical Hastings performance-some nice periods of play but no real end product. Looked rather desperate at the end when we went to 3 at the back. Could be a good thing losing as highlights we are still quite a way off having a promotion challenging team. Hope we still have Ollie Rowe among others next season.
Excellent report as always John, agree with it entirely. For those of you who could not attend the Player of the Year results were as follows:- Winner Charlie Horlick , Runner Up Davide Rodari, third was Sam Adams, fourth Dayshonne Golding, fifth Ollie Rowe, sixth was Sam Cruttwell.
Thanks to all of you who bought the Matchday Programme and 50/50 tickets. Programmes sold out most weeks thanks to Paul Hoggards excellent production , and the 50/50 sold in record numbers, 6500 this year. Today’s prize was a record for a league match. Congratulations to all who won. See you all next season.
Sittingbourne showed we lack the hard edge that you sometimes need, hate it or loathe it. We have some good young players which is something to build on, but we also need steel to really compete. Looking forward to a great season next time out.
I told Scott I can give him a couple of Saturdays in the summer: see some of you there.

Not the best of games i saw on TPF. First half was poor , second half a bit better. Think all the advantages and disadvantages of playing a lot of youngsters were shown although it was the last game of the season. Some nice touches, very talented, great moves but no delivery at the end; the want to walk the ball over the goal line. And of course the psychical is so important when you play against a average team but they did know how to move forward in a very direct way. Although the result was bad; it was great to see some old faces again. Up to the next season!
