After the win against Chipstead we will now face bottom club  Shoreham_FC_logo.png

Shoreham are currently the number last in the table with only 8 points out of 41 games.

They scored 31 and conceded 122 goals.

They lost their 9 last games; the last win was at home against Molesey.

Remember our away game: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/match/2017-2018/isthmian-football-league-south-division/shoreham/hastings-united/12702

A red card for Dixon and a last minute equalizer.

And we? Normally it is 100% 3 points match. Maybe the only thing what we don't know for sure is how many goals we will score.

For those of you who have not yet done so, this will be your last opportunity to vote for ‘The Player of the Year’.
Voting forms next to the Programme 50/50 table.

Chris, as I understand it, you can vote for any player who has played for us this season. Being a democracy it’s one vote per supporter.

Have to agree Chris, their keeper had an excellent game, although helped by our inability to finish. One other point who decides who takes penalties.? Is it the Manager or Captain ? I think Golding has already missed this season , surely it shound have been Adams.

Thought the game highlighted where we need to improve for next season. We have a good keeper, talented defenders in Rowe, Christie, Cruttwell and Beale, good midfield players in Dixon, Adams and Lovatt but we are very lightweight up front. Ade Olorunda would have terrorised that Shoreham defence and I think we need a player like that to complement all the build up work that goes in.

Yes, it did feel as if a bit of attacking height would've made all the difference. The number of crosses that whistled low through the six yard box without getting a decisive touch was absurd; Shoreham were practically defending on their goal-line much of the time and surely wouldn't have been able to cope with an aerial threat. The question, of course, is whether you can add that extra element without compromising the quality of the approach work.

Thought Shoreham were both completely terrible and highly creditable. They're clearly way, way short of what's required to survive...but for a team whose negative goal difference will probably hit three figures by the end of the season, they weren't half prepared to fight for each other and to scrap for everything. As others have said, their keeper had a tremendous game, but there were a huge number of last-ditch blocks and clearances too. Most teams would've given up or collapsed into disarray long ago.
