After the big loss against Phoenix it is another away game and now to 175px-Craywanderersfc.png

Cray are currently the number 8 in the table. 9 points out of 5 games; 2 wins and 3 draws. Scored 9 and conceded only 2.

Current top scorer is Stevenson with 3 goals.

Remember our last away game and watch the highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8HlA0r88cA

Cray plays at: Hayes Lane, Bromley but they have also plans: http://www.cray-wanderers.com/stadium-updates/

And we? The return from Sam Adams did not have immediately effect and it was a strange week for the club.

The departures of Barrie West and players Josh Pelling and Jack Harris leaves the club somehow in a vacuum. Is the club rebuilding the first team with promising youngsters and without doubt then not choose for direct promotion or will there be experienced new players coming in the very near future.

This game is for sure a test; hopefully the travelling supporters will be optimistic about it after the game.

COYU'ssssssssss!

Cruttwell and Medlock dropped for Gayler and Dullaway tonight and Prichard also on the bench. Rodari starts again as does Carey. I hope Rodari scores a hat trick and we put in a super performance because for me that is one of the weakest starting line ups I have seen for a very long time and I would loved to be proved wrong. Good luck to the lads tonight.

Does anyone have any news on Beales and Johnno?

Strange starting line up .... as we are not playing weekend ... I hope davide proves me wrong but I feel he is not right , but with Sammy might gain some confidence ...however good luck to sonny , deserves a start after his sub performance on Saturday ... I really like this lad

Good luck , can't make it tonight as I go bed at 8.30pm , hope I wake up midnight to a great result 😀

Don't understand the line up tonight, just as baffling as the substitutions on Saturday. I thought Bradley was outstanding on Saturday. Now we are one down.

One of the poorest away games for a long time, no quality from either side. Not much to say ( think I fell asleep during the second half ) but just glad we got a point out of it tbh. Very poor entertainment as a game.

A very lucky point tonight. If cray had finished half their chances we'd have taken a hiding. However team selection and formation suggests that the point is what we went for.
I think we are in danger of destroying the confidence of some of the young lads. David looked lost playing up front on his own. (He won us the penalty to his credit). Subbing Ollie after 20 mins must have been gutting for him, and begs the question of why didn't Sam start? The horse had already bolted.
And how many times did we kick it straight into touch from the goalkicks? I counted 5, but those around me suggested it was many more. Last time I checked we weren't using an oval ball.

I went last night. It was much much better than the away game at Phoenix Sports, but it was against a poorer opposition. Once again there were many people scratching their heads when the starting eleven was picked by Stevie Wonder. Never mind but once again when Cruttwell came on we looked stronger and more capable at the back. His ability to run through people like they aren't there is something that is difficult to get and something the academy boys can definitely learn from. Too many academy players starting the game last night and I agree with giving them experience and first team game time, but in moderation - get the game finished first and then perhaps bring them on when the game has 15/20 minutes left. Good experience for them but if I wanted to watch them I'd have gone up the Pilot Field the other night when they were all playing together and not paid £10 for a first team game when there are more capable players on the bench like Billy and Crutts. Can't be a happy camp like that!

Standout players that I thought for our was out new goalkeeper. Plenty to do and definitely kept busy - did a good job last night and made half a dozen very good saves. Michael Aziaya was also very impressive in defence - hardly put a foot wrong and looked strong, able and competent throughout. Curtis Gaylor had a better game for us last night too. Can't understand why he took the penalty but that doesn't matter as it was put away, but especially in the second half, he was better - made some good blocks, interceptions and passes, and even had a very good chance to put us ahead early in the second half but didn't quite get the right connection.

There were a few times when we were on the counter attack last night and could've done better. Davide Rodari and Sonny Dullaway steaming forward but neither wanted to pass to the other and the attack fizzled out too often. I'm a fan of Sonny, think there's great potential there, but he does try to do to much on the ball. Davide I think should concentrate on his own game rather than trying to be Cristiano Ronaldo, rolling around and waving his arms about.

Sammy Adams was very unlucky not to score a winner in the dying moments last night too when his shot struck the post.

I remember saying that last year, Cray's finishing was poor. Last night was the same. It could've been a lot more for the hosts had their finishing been of a decent standard but it seems luck was in our side last night when numerous Cray attempts were skied or sliced or wasted. Lucky point if you ask me, but one I'd definitely have taken after seeing the starting lineup. Hope it's not destroying the confidence of our youngsters.

Great report Liam ..and done good points

I am a Sonny fan as well and also noted that Davide was diving about and falling over at previous games looking for free kicks etc

However , a good point and I hope the youngsters do well as we have a long season ahead ... it's good to see them coming though , I think the club have done a great job there
