The Board of Directors are sad to announce that Barrie West has stepped down from his role as a Director of the Club with immediate effect. Barrie has been a volunteer at the Club since 2009 and has worked tirelessly over the years in many areas of the Club, but in particular on ground maintenance and upkeep, as well as managing the front of the ground and security on match days.
Since becoming a Director Barrie has continued to keep his other roles and has been a real asset to the team. Barrie would like to thank all the volunteers that have helped and supported him over the years. Equally the Board would like to place on record its deepest thanks to Barrie for all his hard work and loyalty. He will always be welcomed at the Club.
Ditto that ... understandable Barrie after all these years. Thank you for all your hard work .The club will miss you, but hope to see you at games in the future for a beer or 3 🍺🍺🍺 Cheers Baz !
Can't blame him. Not sure he was going to get his wish of higher grade football here anytime soon. Always one bad story after another at Hastings. Never any good news whoever is in charge. Crutts next????
Like all supporters just get sick and tired of our best players always getting poached by other teams. When will we have a manager who can poach the best players from other clubs?
Huge disappointment for everyone as he was a real fans favourite and one signing we were all excited about. Need to start seeing all these super contacts Adam supposedly has pretty soon.

Be interesting to see what happens with Josh when Slavomir Huk returns from his broken hand as they can heal in 3-6 weeks. Probably the best keeper I have seen over the years and cant see Josh wanting to be a reserve. Not sure Josh was Adam's signing was he?
I can in all honesty say that the departure of My dear friend Barrie is not only a big loss for himself - like John said he was so proud to be a director of his home town club- but maybe more for the club itself.
Barrie put so much energy in the club and work so hard, special in the Summer months that his work rate and love for the club can't be replaced.
Barrie is a very friendly person and makes always time to have a chat about football or Family.
Although it was such a great honor to be a director, he stayed the same how he was before that and never
forgot the things what has to be done on Match Day's and it was often that he didn't see anything of the match because there was so much to do.
Why he left? Close friends know why and maybe he is too much a Gentlemen to bring it in the open.
Barrie- luckily you are not dead but surely you will be intense missed at TPF.
Agree with all posts about Barrie especially Dans. He certainly put in the work behind the scenes , and when we helped out during the summer he would always without fail thank us for doing our bit. All the best Barrie.
I would like to add my note of appreciation for Barrie's work for the club, and particularly for his helpfullness and civility. To my mind he was a great match day ambassador for the club.
Don't think he has gone anywhere has he? think Chris was just suggesting could he be next like I did with Crutts. Hope so anyway otherwise we may be recalling Barrie West to play up front!!
blimey whats going on at hythe, what about new keeper was he second choice at borough or lower.
Hythe are fine Dave after 2 big wins and a very narrow (on penalties) defeat to Folkestone last night. Sam has had a big change at work, but no doubt he will speak for himself in due course.
Sorry to lose him but Brighton to Hythe via Hastings ain't much fun up to 3/4 times every 8 days.
Apart from that and a few long- term injuries all is well and our lads are all focused especially those on contracts.
