Lost 2-1 to late goals from Burgess Hill , in a game for the most part played in a downpour. Useful workout and no doubt Adam would have picked up a few pointers.Sam Beale looks our best left back for ages and Bradley Prichard continues to impress.
Interesting to see Ronnie Dolan in the crowd.
Dixon impressed again. I missed lee Carey's early goal which I'm told was a corker. However, although neat and tidy, I thought he was lightweight, and couldn't influence the game. I was surprised last week that kingstonian didn't make more of their height advantage. We are a small team, which worries me, and the manner in which we conceded the second goal only enforced that.
Finally, the "trialist" must be signed as soon as he gets international clearance. He was superb when he came on.
Yes - I thought 'The Trialist' (sounds very mysterious) looked very nifty too - great dribbles and nicking the ball off the opposition's toes. Looked like he was gonna score right at the end. Would you happen to know his name?
The weather must have played a part - relentless rain for most of the match. I cannot help but feel we had the better of the game and were worth the draw at least. The two BH goals looked fairly soft from where i was.
Is their #17 tall enough?

Didn't think BH looked higher league today but still managed to expose our defence at the end. Good penalty shout turned down. Thought Billy should have scored when he hit post. Would probably have sealed win at that stage. Trialist impressed again as did no.5. Two more friendlies will probably give a clear idea of our chance of promotion. Midfield looked weaker without Simon Johnson. Hope he stays fit.
Their number 17 was usual for a tall
Player .. he was difficult to control and although not technically perfect he simple caused problems
Bradley with that cut continued and played well . Tom Vickers for me is my must start .. I feel comfy with him at the back . The free kick from Lee Carey was stunning .
Lots to be encouraged by . There is a nice feeling around the club for me, can't wait to get the season started and we have 2 difficult games with casuals and carshalton ...
I sat wondering what others clubs are thinking about us after we lost our big players at the start of the summer ... with so much young talent , and a couple of potential shining unknown players in Davide and the mysterious number 12 !!! ( the trialist )
The manager for what I have observed seems organised and this shows
Got to say I am that excited I am even looking forward to Guernsey !!! ( am packing 2 weeks clothes incase of fog delays ) and also I am willing to brave the island of sheppy ( anyone seen the Wicker Man ?? )
He's looked class in all three games I've seen so far, barely wastes a pass and looks to have a great vision for throughballs and crosses from deep. Hope this international clearance thing is sorted asap and we get him on board officially.
I've heard of this lad before ....i'm sure he was mentioned last year somewhere...maybe through the academy ? I cant remember now but have definitely heard his name mentioned somewhere before ..please don't let another decent triallist pass us by !!!
Thought there were lots of positives to take from that, despite the result. And perhaps even including the result, since you're bound to have occasional calamities if you play out from the back and that's one less stored up for the season itself. (It works like that, right?)
Plenty of good things, of whom Michael Aziaya was the pick for me, impressively strong and mobile both in the centre and at full-back. And, yes, that triallist looks quite a player. But I'd like to put in a word for Tom Climpson: quietly aware, elegant and comfortable on the ball; the perfect foil for someone a bit more bullish.

Thought there were 6 players on Saturday who could be part of a promotion team. But our squad doesn't look as strong as last year at the moment but time will tell. Think we will need Michael Aziaya to play at centre half with Ollie. Tom Vickers could then be used as a defensive midfielder.
Some worrying passages of play yesterday- hate the pointless passing around the back four only to lose possession as soon as the ball goes over the half way line. Happened 2 or 3 times on Saturday.
Not enough height in the team- any team with a couple of 6 foot plus players could cause problems.
Goals might be a problem-especially in comparison to last season.
Positives are the arrival of 2 good players in Jack Dixon and Michael Aziaya and a number of promising young players.
