Thought he was a very good player, but never returned to his best after his injury.

Good news, really like Tom and rate him as a player. If he can shed a few pounds and get even fitter he will be a serious player this season.

I too value Tom highly. I'm very pleased indeed that he's with us on a permanent basis. I didn't see Monday, but I saw enough on Saturday to fully justify the Club's welcome decision.
