well he we go again looking for another manager was pleased with Darren and hopeing to see a manager lasting more than a few months but, have to respect his decision.now who and all the old questions.
Genuinely can not think of any names anymore that I can imagine taking over, presume it will be advertised again as per last time. Disappointing as don't think we'll ever see that many goals again in one season and also despite a struggle to get into the play offs I rather enjoyed watching that team as you literally never knew what was coming! Oh well, thanks Darren and good luck to the next bloke again!
Well that has thoroughly pissed me off and to be honest I feel pretty let down by Darren. Would he have gone had we been promoted I wonder? What a let down and what is it with this club and managers. Is this the beginning of a mass exodus from the Pilot Field I wonder.
Can't believe it I honestly thought a few additions to the squad and we would give it a real go next season but here we go again yet another manager and you watch a mass exodus of all the players we wanted to keep . Why can we never keep a manager for more than 6 months to a year , pissed off now

You took the words right out of my keyboard! Not much else too add. Mass exodus, supporters as well as players? The Manager merry-go-round, has now become very boring!
I feel disappointed but not altogether surprised. At least Darren has made his decision early to allow the club to appoint someone else in good time. Let's hope it's umpteenth time lucky when it comes to appointing a manager for the new season.
If this happens now is the best time I suppose. The ambition remains at the club and I'm sure we will get someone well qualified to take things on. It is a shame - some decent foundations had been put down - hopefully they will remain in place to build on. Just remember where we were not so many years ago.
Who cares its just another manager, we will find another for the start of next season. We finished 20+ points away from the title so nothing to get to upset about. Anyway it wouldn't be HUFC if we had a manager for too long.
This highlights what I have said all along you can't build for the future at this level you have to take things a season at a time.
Dan both White and King would get us out of Istmithian South, but at what cost.
My info may be wrong but I was told that Dean does not want it and happy working with the academy.
What about someone like Malcolm Porter at South Park. Look what he achieved on next to no resources. I am sure Sean Ray will come up again as a possibility as well.
I assume also that means Harry Stannard will leave as he was one of Darren's few signings, the rest being Steve Watt's?
Very dissapointed. Don't know who I would like to take the reins but I don't want a player manager. Maybe Dean can be persueded to take the job, be my first pick.
Although annoyed , can't blame Darren for moving on .
Was a brilliant season , I hope the new manager comes in and has a similar experience
Would love to have someone like Steve Claradge ( ok , I love the book 'how to run a football club' ... my heart would love Razor back as manager with some Hastings pride .... but realistically I ain't got a clue what to do
As famously said ' there is no loyalty in football apart from the fans ' ... we will continue to march on next season home and away ,travelling and planning , moaning and debating, politics and dramas , rain -snow and sunshine , away food and pies ....but ... this is Hastings ... wouldn't change it for the world !!
Apart from Guernsey as 2 days fog bound stuck at the airport ain't happening next year ... ( I might drive it lol )
Great news regarding Adam Hinshelwood as the new manager of Hastings what great coup it is for the club a young energetic manager with new fresh ideas .. looking forward to the future

Have to say I'm curious as to how this appointment could be made so quickly.
There has been virtually no time since we heard that Darren had decided to leave.
Surely there wasn't the time to advertise and interview between the two events.
Personally I think this is a very exciting appointment and will definitely attract the attention of the sort of players who we would like to see at the PF.
I'm just curious at the sequence of events that produced this outcome.
Said on the previous statement that the club knew that Darren may leave even before he went away on holiday so I'm sure contingency plans were in the air already a week or so ago. Would have been poor planning if they hadn't prepared fully for it really. Fair play to all involved for getting a highly rated coach drop down from a Premier League club!
I think this appointment is very exciting indeed. Well done to the Board, to Darren and to Adam for the speed and smoothness of the transition. I presume that Adam will maintain his close links with Brighton and I see that as very positive for ourselves. He will bring youth, coaching expertise, prestige and contacts; and, for our part, we can provide an opportunity for an ambitious manager to achieve real success. Of course, it can all go awry; but let's welcome this with open arms and hope that this is the basis of the take off we've so long waited for.
Just wonder whether he will need a number two with Ryman knowledge. This is a tough league to get out off with some really strong sides and I am guessing his knowledge of the teams and their players is fairly limited If not non existent. Darren was probably similar and that is why Steve Watt was so prominent.
Also, as proved this year with some of the average Gillingham loanees we had, it does not guarantee success and great players just because you have connections to a top flight team, although there is always the odd diamond such as Harry Stannard.
Wish him all the luck in the world and just glad we have made a quick appointment and very happy it's a full time appointment. See some of next year likely contenders such as a Carshalton and Greenwich already making some top signings so a quick appointment was absolutely vital if we are to reach our goals next season.
Dont forget he was Worthing FC manager in this league for a season and a half alongside us though mate until 2 seasons ago when he left for Brighton so would imagine he'll have significantly more knowledge of Ryman South than Darren did when he first joined.
I feel it's the right appointment and a 3 year contract goes to show it's not a short term solution I am sure he is hungrier than ever to get back into management and we should all get behind him and his backroom staff whoever they will be !!!!! Were going all the way !!!
