I see that the FA are introducing Sin Bins for the lower leagues next season. Ten minutes for dissent. Not sure who the timekeeper will be or whether it rolls over should it be given in the last few minutes. Also what happens should six players dissent at the same time. Do they all go to Sin Bin.?
Shouldn't they leave the rules alone. Anybody got any views ?
Not sure really. Nothing usually wrong with finally picking up on what Rugby has done for years like video tech - tv match officials creeping in too I think. As for sin bins - why not. Having said that - football teams dont always find going down to ten men a major handicap whereas in Rugby, losing a man usually results in points conceded. I do wish football would introduce retrospective action against cheats. They wouldnt have to use it much as the message would sink into the thickest skull pretty quickly!
As for Roger's crowd boosting suggestions, hmmmm.......
Football has a tendency to get card happy referees - will all yellows mean a spell in the bin? As is the case in Rugby Union where - in comparison - yellow cards are rare.
Same here Boggins. I would bring it in for all yellow cards and do away with totting up for suspensions. Can you imagine the irony of getting a yellow card for time wasting and getting sin binned.
