Well maybe its just me but I thought throughout most of today Hastings were absolutely scintillating in their attacking play and for me that was one of our most complete performances for many a year. I don't think for a minute that Aylesbury were as poor as some of the league sides we have hammered of late, I think we just made them look poor. First 20mins or so were fairly even with Hastings certainly looking the more dangerous of the two but from 20mins on they were utterly dominant in every department and could have quite easily of won by 6 or 7. Some of the one and two touch passing we were producing was as good as I have seen at the Pilot Field and massive credit has to go to Darren for what he has done to this team. I thought Jack Harris lead the line really well and thoroughly deserved his hat trick (who's Jay May??), Frannie Collin just gets better every game and works tirelessly for the team and Harry Stannard is a revelation at the moment, (is he signed or on season loan from Gillingham?). We are also clearly twice the team when Simon Johnson is fit and playing and I don't say this lightly but has anyone seen a better player in any game this season than Matt Bodkin, what a player!! Very happy today after the slip up at Walton and I think in past seasons the team would not have come back like that after such a defeat. Well done to all.

Could not agree more John, whenever Matt Bodkin gets the ball, it`s so electric, you feel as though something going to happen everytime, what a player!
Well done to all, very entertaining stuff.

Totally agree John. Wednesday's first half was as good as I've seen this year but good goalkeeping and a very brave block from a Crutts blockbuster kept the score down to one. Second half was Walton's but thy had great help from an incompetent ref. Today we were magnificent and while I thought Jack was great my MoM and season so far is Matt. Darren has them playing as a team and seeing Crutts at centre half was a revelation. What a signing is Darren, well done to the board.

Great oerformance all round from the team today and totally agree with John . Aylesbury were not a bad unit , we literally destroyed them early on . We hit the woodwork twice as well . Lenny made a great save early on which may have proved to be a vital one , who knows . After that we were the only team in it . Jacks  movement was superb and was delighted to see him get a well deserved hat trick. Then there was Harry's goal !! Well worked and what a stike ? Pick that out !!  But man of the match for me yet again was Matt Bodkin . He is quickly turning into one of the best players I've seen in many a year, if not ever !   Also , a special mentuon for Richard Davies . He is improving by the game . Playing along side Ollie Rowe is certainly showing dividends !  Yep very happy with that

Totally agree with both John and KT,excellent stuff. Good day for the Harris family, not only did Jack score an excellent hat trick, but his Grandmother won the 50/50.

Fantastic performance from Hastings United. Aylesbury weren't a bad side and kept on trying to play football but Hastings were excellent throughout the game. Hope our crowds start to improve soon as I haven't seen a Hastings side play as well for years. Well done to Darren Hare and his coaching staff and to all the players.

I actually managed to arrive on time for the game, but still missed the start due to the "FA rules" that you can't take a beer outside of the bar for these matches. I understand the historical sentiment behind these rules but is it really relevant at this level. The club will have lost a fair amount of potential revenue yesterday .
More importantly I thought jack Harris had his best game since Crawley away, and bodkin was again outstanding. Completely outplayed a competent opponent- they weren't anything like Herne bay . ( I see they managed a draw with harrow borough yesterday)
