After the FA exit against Margate is it is now back to the  League against Guernsey_FC_Logo.jpg

Think at the beginning of the season no-one could imagine this game was between the numbers 17 and 19 in the table.

Guernsey, the number 19 in the table, got 10 points out of 11 games, scored 18 and conceded 20 goals.

Top scorer - of course - Ross Allen with 8 goals.

Last season we played away and won 1-4 ( Medlock,Attwood,Rowe and Ray ) and at home we won 2-0 ( Medlock2x)

Hopefully we can climb a bit in the table after this game because we have already a lot of games in hand.

Support the U's today and have a great day.

Great day for Hastings with just three of the top twelve winning and the top two both losing. Margate and Harrow drew 2-2.

Good to see a Hastings team playing with style and confidence. Especially pleased with the whole-hearted effort put in by all the players. As the previous post says, hope this is the beginning of a consistent run of league results.

Well an excellent result today after Tuesday's efforts but I felt we fell considersbly short of the intensity and pace that we played with on Tuesday. Guernsey did look a rather poor team today and we didn't have to play that well to give them a good hiding. Probably a good fixture to have after the midweek exertions !
Matt was definitely MotM for me and I guess the poor full back that he tormented will have a few nightmares tonight.
John, we discussed 'bad defending' after the Margate game.....now think back to our second goal.......that's what I call bad defending ! Frannie will never get an easier hat-trick.

There is little to say we played ok. But Guernsey were pathetic. Sadly until we play the better sides you cant judge where we are at.

How many times over the years have we sunk to the level of these bad teams though Chris and struggled badly ? Darren says there is room for improvement and he's right but we certainly seem to be heading in the right direction . Another win tomorrow is a must to get back up amongst it

Chris,
Look at it this way...we could have been pathetic and lost 6 - 1. But actually we were the ones dishing it out.
So let's not be too depressed about giving someone a damn good thrashing.

Well said Mick and Windy. Couldn't get there on Saturday but 6-1 is a great result no matter the opposition, we haven't been scoring against lower sides but this team is looking better all the time.
