After 4 points in the League after 2 games and a FA Cup win it is now time again for a League game away to
Chipstead lost their opening game against Lewes 1-2, then drew to Hythe Town 1-1 and won last Saturday in the FA Cup 2-1 against Beckenham Town.
Last season we won the opening game at home 6-0 ( Jack Harris 3x, Cole,Temba and Attwood 1x ) drew away in December 1-1 ( goal Cole, but lost that game Josh Pelling ) and in the FA Trophy we won 1-2 ( Goals Smith and Temba)
Chipstead have a complete new team; interesting article from their new manager: http://nonleague.pitchero.com/news/optimism-high-at-re-built-chipstead-49060/
Chipstead play at : CHIPSTEAD FOOTBALL CLUB,Ground: High Road,Address: Chipstead, CR5 3SF
And we? After 4 points and a win in the FA Cup there is some reason to be optimistic I believe. The new Manager Darren Hare is trying to play a different passing game then we were used to see in comparison to last season. Maybe there is some concern about our striking force; against Cray Valley Steve Watt and Sam Cole were upfront, both of course no strikers.
Hope a lot of supporters will make this journey and have a save trip to bring home 3 points.
The first half was one of the most amazing in all my years following United . If I had some blood pressure pills I would have been eating them like smarties. Every time Chipstead attacked they looked like scoring , they even missed a penalty . Could have been five or six down after twenty minutes.
Then we turned it all around with a Jay May hat trick, the third of which was a fantastic lob from at least 40 yards.
In the second half we looked the likely winners , but despite hitting the post it three times it was not to be, and Chipstead still looked dangerous on the break. There were also some very dubious refereeing decisions.
Off to lie down in a dark room.

Wow! Gutted I missed this game!
Thought we did ok vs Cray Valley in the cup last Sunday contrary to what others have said.
To me (& I know its early days), but this team has a good shape & look to them that will hopefully take us far.
