Steve Watt has decided to leave the Tanners and we would like to thank him for all his efforts in 2015/16.
Leatherhead Football Club would like to thank Watty for his hard work since coming in to the club producing some excellent performances during his time. Achieving what we set out to by finishing in the top half of the table from the position the team was in when taking over. Would like to wish him luck for next season.
Watt sounds usefull although not a spring chicken and goes against youth way the club said it wanted to go but guess as assistant manager two birds hit by one stone. but is this a joke a strength and conditioning coach? to win league we ned a good team spirit, players in it together, mates enjoying it so if conditioning coach is gonna go down town after a saturday and buy the lads a drink then that is ok. but i think i got the wrong meaning and if so i think it show that our manager might be a bit green when it come to this standard of football. i think the thought is good but the reality of a strength and conditioning coach in ryman south is a comedy i think
Sorry Peter, you say a lot of sensible things usually but that is a load of rubbish and don't understand the point you are trying to make. The fitness and conditioning of the team over the past few seasons has been abysmal and the reason why we have always struggled against not only the top sides but also the strong physical sides. Think it's a great appointment and exactly the direction the club should be going to become a more professional outfit in my opinion.
a breath of fresh air.? fishing in a stagnant pond. talk about young blood who want to play. for us for the right reasons. fitness comes with passion.Hastings are a big side good players will come for the right reasons. but the money crap brings in the wrong grabbing players.
The best way for this club to achieve success in the future is by shutting this forum down. There are 5 posts on this thread and 2 of them are so negative. There are only 3 or 4 posters on here that are worth reading(and yes Mick you are 1 of them.)
John take your point about last season and we was beaten a lot by bigger uglier sides so yes i think last season our players could had been more strong so you have a point. but players should be responsible for own fitness to and should be physically prepare for game themself at our level if they want to be winners and that is where Hare need to get right players in. He need players with winning attitude where money is not key to them coming to play for us and players that take lot of responsibility for their own condition. i think they train one time a week so when is the strength and condition coach going to do his stuff? we can be fit and strong but we need to be organise, so that my point players should be responsible for be fit, manager and coach responsible for organising picking side to win game. that i think make a winning side. i sure you have seen players in town after a game saturday looking very drunk. need to remember we have part time players so will that manager put a stop to this to make sure the players are in condition. I am just saying it is a bit BBB for ryman south and hence a bit green, professional yes but not real for us where we are in league.
Gaz if you say my post is negative read it again. I thought Watt was a usefull signing in team and mangement position. I am sorry if my comment about the condition coach upset you but why should supporters not have a place to say there honest thinking on things? if you think my posts not worth reading then dont read them
Great video Windy, like the fact he seems to focus team shape and tactical discipline a lot, we will need that as we need a tighter defence than we did generally last season. Decent defender himself too, should fill that Sean Ray shaped 'experienced CB ) gap hopefully.
Do we have any news on Ollie Rowe yet? Burgess Hill manager seems to think it may be off now due to a change of job for Ollie. Hopefully that means he is staying.
And please, can we have an update on Medlock, Pelling and Maclean. All had bad injuries last season but barely a word since on the main site. If they stay will any be fit for pre season or even the start of the season? Be really nice to keep the supporters in touch.
Billy tweeted today that he had some good news with regards to his injury . He doesn't need an operation so hopes to be involved from the start of the new season . I'm really pleased for him ... Now lets make sure he stays with us before someone else grabs him !

You are right John, hope the new Manager thinks the same!
Fantastic news. I have absolutely no doubt that the club will do everything possible to keep Billy and I am sure they will succeed. It's just about the only thing that everyone is in agreement on this forum, Billy is our star man and the team needs to be built around him. Really good news!👍

Loan players apart, in my view, Billy Medlock has been the most consistently effective and exciting forward player we have had in our team since Ade was in his prime. It would very much ease my concerns about next season if we had an early confirmation that Billy has committed to us.
