After the loss against Molesey this week we now have maybe a crucial match against FavershamTown.png

Faversham are currently the number 4 in the table with 73 points out of 40 games. Scored 59 and conceded 40 goals.

Top scorer is now Robertson because King and Wilson left the club.

Last season we played ( who can't remember those ones ) away and won 1-5 ( goals Farmer,Pogue,Hassan and Ade 2x) and at home for a crowd of 900 at The Pilot Field we won 2-1 ( Sam Adams 2x)

Faversham play at: Sheperd Neame Stadium, Faversham 6875.jpg

And we? It is really a season of hope and disappointment and then again hope............. The loss against Molesey put us in a position where you need all the points in the coming fixtures. Faversham is a very tough test and at least we need a draw because the competition is now on his top.

Think it is important that we start with a recognazible line-up. Those players who are currently on their best and can make the difference.

Hope a lot of supporters will make the trip to Kent and support the team!

COYU'ssssssssssssssssssss!

They have done a pretty amazing job at Faversham. After a slow start, they have now won 7 of their last 9 and just 3 defeats in their last 17. All this after their two best players in Wayne Wilson and Stuart King left the club. We on the other hand have only won 3 of our last 8. Its going to be tough but anything but a win is not good enough.

I wouldn't worry too much about Bert! Judging by some of the performances of late - we certainly don't look like a side trying to achieve promotion!!!

Despite webpages timings the 3rd goal actually came just after half time by which point the game was done

5 points from a possible 18 has pretty well scuppered our chances of the play-offs...but more worrying is how poorly we seem to be playing. For the second game running there will also be questions over the team selection...but maybe there are circumstances I don't know about.
Trying to find a positive....the next three games are all against teams we have already comfortably beaten this season. I suggest these are now ALL must win games...and if we do we may give ourselves a chance if others slip up.
So hope hasn't gone...but it's fading fast !

I think we have to accept we are a mid-table side who having been punching above our weight, and only had the hope we've had due to the number of games in hand we've been behind.

When you consider we have the best ground, pitch and fans in the league, we should be pushing for promotion no doubt. But on the pitch, we seem a long way behind the sides around us. 3 absolute must wins games now that would keep us in contention. But even then I'm not holding out any hope.

that was so bad. think mistake to bring walder straight back in but all round look like players not interested in playing for club or manager, no shape, no desire no passion and cant see us getting to play off now which is astonishing given money we must be spending. think there are big doubts on the management tean after today. we have far better team than 2 years ago when we make play off but performances going backwards. not even ref can be blame today we was just clueless and manager accept he make mistake when he make sub so early. i thought wilson was a good choice but think his good days are well gone and think we need a manageron his way up not on his way down

Worst performance I've seen all season from us and at such a vital time in the season as well :( and to make it worse I've now got to watch the England game!

Think we may have had 1 shot in target in last minute but that was probably it, Faversham just looked like they were much more of a organised and hard working team than we were with some clinical finishing.

I still fully expect us to beat Peacehaven on Monday but with us now 5 points off the playoffs ( albeit with s game in hand ) and other sides in better form I find it tough to imagine us getting in the playoffs at this stage. However we sneaked in through the most fortunate of circumstances 2 seasons ago so can only hope history repeats itself!

Let's not mess about...it was pathetic and embarrassing. I don't get it , most of the team showed no motivation and played as though there was nothing to play for. It's difficult to believe that this was the same team that played superbly at Guernsey a few weeks ago. Faversham were no better than us but took the chances that came their way.
As for the four brain dead so called supporters that managed to puke up in the stand, smash holes in the toilet wall and throw flares on the pitch....I just hope that the club ban you for life, you were disgraceful.

The supporters must be fed up! I am - I didn't go today as I knew we would get beaten! I was right! Thing is though, it breaks my heart as supporter. I am beginning to wonder about our management team - but who am I to Judge? They know best, that's why the are in that position! Are they???????

at start of season when we played bad there was the excuse that the manager and players needed time. frustrating it was but yes needed few games to settle. but whole season gone now and there is no improvement, things getting worse and the only time we play well is when we play teams near bottom or not in form and i suppose on monday we will win 6 0 and everyone will say how great we are. but dont think i will go even if it is 2 quid. and thinking to next season we will have lewes probably horsham and probably greenwich who are spending lot of money so think unless we get right manager in it will be another frustrating season spending loads of money and wasting it. they may of course get us in play off and win yet but think with money and players we have this season has been badly disappointing and even if we do go up i would go with a new manager for next season.

That shows why the play offs are a gimmick that allow sides who don't play well enough or consistently to still have a chance of sneaking up. The team doesn't go out with the intention of putting on a performance like that -the players must be as brassed off as the supporters and management but the away form in particular of late has been awful and we are hugely lucky - with 14 defeats - to still be in with a shout.

Even more frustrating was that Faversham looked an average side yet won comfortably with their keeper having 2 saves to make in the last couple of minutes. Back in the days when promotion was rewarded properly you would've been laughed out of court saying that the time would come when a side having lost 14 games out of 40 was still in with a chance of promotion.

i have not wrote on here before although always come on and read the comments we dont deserve to be in the play offs we have lost to many games and to be honest we have lost games away to teams near the bottom we have also been fantastic at times guernsey twice etc and we have some good players but we just are not playing as a team although we can up our game when we want to .Faversham was bad but we have had the same all season we let players go because they cant perform they go to another club then they seem to perform better ie jack harris but i feel the reason is we dont seem to have players like wayne pea**** ,willard that can play out wide and will keep running all day and a forward like earnie that will score 20 goals a season our midfield is needing a strong player like a carton wynter but why cant we attract that sort of player its all about money not garys fault .Ithink gary will get us promoted just not yet its frustrating to be in this division but its hard to compete when teams can attract better players for 50 quid a game more so lets get behind gary because if he goes i think it would be a backwards step who do we get in next dolby .

I can see why you have not wrote on here for a while Sooty, what a load of rubbish you speak. I can guarantee there is not one team in this league that pays £50 more a game as you state. We have the highest budget in the league by far, of that I have no doubt. The problems are sadly a lot deaper than quite simply what we can pay.

Really are you serious, most if not all the teams we have played this year are paying less, the management team are clueless they don't know what to do to get players motivated, there are no tactics Fav today played the conditions we did the opposite and 85 mins into the game we were still making similar errors. Sadly another managerial change is required and we need players who want to give 100% and play as a team.

Very disappointed to read on here and in a club statement that a few people claiming to be HUFC supporters let themselves and the club down at Faversham this afternoon.
I personally support the move of the club to ban these individuals from attending games indefinitely. I have heard on the grapevine that these people arrived at the ground already having had far too much to drink and made complete idiots of themselves throughout the afternoon.
I sincerely hope they are made to pay for any damage caused.

Haven't bothered to come on here for quite some time. Mainly because apart from 3 or 4 most of what you see on here is absolute rubbish. Anyway I think I remember a post on here just before DO took over from DW, that DO should camp outside of Dean White's house until he agreed to sign a 2 year contract. It looks like that time is here again.

What has been disappointing is that the team have not shown any signs of improving through the season. We still seem way off from playing as a team and I'm not convinced by the workrate and effort of some of our players. I would go as far as to say that for a number of players training must be a waste of time as they don't really do much running in matches. Having watched the workrate and commitment of various teams who have dominated this league in the past, Ramsgate, Peacehaven, Burgess Hill etc we are miles off being a promotion side this season. Just wish our players were on a payment by results and league position system to see if it would make any difference.

The only question with that system Tim, is whether we would get those players in the first place if we operated that way?

Don't see what there is to lose, if you offer an amount with 50% for turning up, 75% for a draw and full amount for a win. Its become apparent that something needs to change next season.
