I listen to arrow all day at work and sometimes Saturday mornings and just wondered why Hastings don't get a mention no fixtures or results we did last season so why not this season all publicity helps

Mostly because it's not Hastings based anymore I gather and concentrates on the Albion. Also think they feel ryman south is too low to bother featuring

Long standing supporters may be aware that prior to my move to Cornwall I provided feed to arrow fm for both home and away matches. In its heyday the station provided opportunity for pre match  previews, half time updates and then final score reports. I provided this  service for over ten years home and away. This became  more problematic as towards the end arrow fm became more regionalised and moved from its local sports emphasis. The problems were not just from the station as initially DW ( remember him)

removed the phone line from the press box, then banned me from the press box, then insisted that I paid at the gate. Not a problem but bearing in mind I travelled as a volunteer from Essex at the time, it was not most welcoming. I bought a season ticket as a consequence.

i was never spoken to, just ignored and at tow fm were aware of dis attempt to prevent me from providing the reports. Arrow fm  simply told him where to get off, as I provided a service for them

we get the coverage that we deserve

i still follow United via the first rate twitter feed

It's a shame we don't have a better relationship with arrow maybe someone from the club could approach them about some coverage again after all the more coverage the better. It's strange arrow have local news, weather, travel and adverts but no local sport whatsoever,in there eyes there's only one team in Sussex that's Brighton

Trouble is that Arrow FM are part of a whole corporation type thing. Arrow FM, Soverign FM and Splash FM (maybe more) are all run by the same people and company. Some of their shows are broadcast on to all three radios at the same time, including news and weather.

I provided them with the information about the have a Hastings heart scheme over the Christmas period, and despite having their own toy appeal, they were more than willing to help. The did a telephone interview with me and played it during the news bulletins for a couple of days, and they also ran the story on their website and promoted it via the Facebook page and Twitter page.

It would be nice if someone could still be in contact with Arrow, because the potential for more publicity is still there...
