As supporters may be aware Josh Pelling suffered a serious injury last night which resulted in him being stretchered off and eventually being taken to hospital via an ambulance that disappointingly took about an hour and three quarters to arrive. It was originally feared that Josh had suffered a broken leg but it now appears that its ligament or tendon damage which is continuing to be assessed with a scan to be undertaken during next week. At this point it looks as if Josh will be out for a considerable period. The club and no doubt supporters wish Josh a full and speedy recovery.
Josh's Dad was at the game and thankfully he was able to eventually transport Josh from hospital back to Hastings and they got back at about 5.30am this morning.
Bad luck Josh, we saw how much pain you were in last night and wish you a swift recovery. You will be missed by us all and not just on the pitch. I hope you get to enjoy Christmas and the New Year with your family and friends.
I second Steve's comments. Huge loss to the club and I wish him all the best and prey it does not have a long term effect on his job. Fingers crossed for a hasty recovery.
Off course not wasn't even there to judge, rather simple way of looking at it. But how do you expect a county league div 2 level player, to be good enough for a club striving to reach Ryman premier. I know it was a case of needs must but if we don't sign a keeper we will be needing to score 3 to have a chance of winning games.
