After the loss in the Cup we are back in the League for the game against SouthPark.jpg

South Park is the current nr. 7 in the table with 35 points out of 19 games.

They lost yesterday at home for a crowd of 76  against East Grindstead Town 1-3.

Last season we drew at home 3-3 and in April we lost away 3-2 ( hat trick Chris Smith )

Think this is a very important game for us. With a lot of games in hand we could easily climb up the Table with a few wins.

South Park is also in for a play off place so we can make a step for that also.

Hope the pitch has not had too much damage and the weather forecast hopefully OK to see a lot of supporters will visit TPF.

Come on you U'ssssssssssss!

Had a look at the league this morning, have taken my eye off it with all these cup games. We're not in too bad a position, 5 points off the play off places with a number of games in hand. This is a big game for us to win.

Anyone know if South Park have the same keeper as last season? That was an interesting game. . .

They had a poor result last night losing 3-1 at home to East Grinstead.

The keeper at our home game was an idiot (that's me being polite). Their keeper at the away game was the opposite. Friendly and enjoying the banter with us.

I think Chris Smith scored all 6 goals against us last season but I believe he has moved on.

Thankfully Chris Smith now plays for Burgess Hill

I think that keeper was Keiran Campbell ,,, I believe he's moved to Epsom and Ewell or some team like that

Their keeper is James Wastell and is still playing for them.

He was brilliant and said that we didn't deserve to loose that game and genuinely said he hoped we survived. It's good to see that some keepers know how to have a good bit of banter with the away fans.

if i think it right i think he use to play for whyteleafe and was always great entertainment for the banter although he must be getting on a bit now so maybe his banter is better than his goalkeeping now

Not sure about that Peter he definitely cost us a share of, if not all of the points last season at their ground.

A terrific thoroughly deserved win! South Park were by no means bad; it was rather that today we were on our best form playing some very attractive football. The energy levels were very high pretty much through the 90 minutes. For me, the really encouraging thing was that players were making good runs into space allowing intelligent long balls to be hit; and players then got forward allowing some productive close passing as well. So something for everyone!
Jack had an excellent game up front, Billy was simply everywhere, Sam Cruttwell was in great form in midfield and Sean was allowed to come forward to great effect by Ollie Rowe being so assured at the back. And yes, even with all those contenders, I still wouldn't dispute Simon Johnston claiming MoM. Congratulations to all concerned. We shouldn't underestimate the importance of this win and the style in which it was accomplished.

Great win and good to see five different goal scorers. Well played all of the guys. I thought the whole team should have got MoM but I don't think you will get many arguments about Simon getting it. Good football played on the ground mainly. Keep it up guys and we will be in the play offs. Thanks for three points and an entertaining afternoon.

Superb win today, great performance. Quick passing, one touch, high tempo and some entertainment. Some fantastic individial performances as well Razor, Ollie and Billy in particular. Yet again though what a fantastic player young Sam is in the centre. An absolute gem in our team.

Fair play to their keeper as well, great to have a laugh

Their keeper accepted his 'banter of the match' award with typical good humour! ( a cigarette of course! )

Yes the keeper was a star for South Park. Great entertainment this afternoon against a team who played in a very open, almost Corinthian style. Reminded me of some games in the 60's when both sides set out to play in an attacking way. Not sure we will be up against many sides who play like South Park this season but well done to Hastings- a valuable 3 points.

Great value for money today from the 1st to 90th minute. I think we should get Crutwell on a contract( if you are allowed to at this level). Played some lovely football throughout and I think if we can keep this level of performance up for the rest of the season we will push Folkestone all the way.

Just the sort of performance and result we needed at the end of a frustrating week. I thought Billy was superb today, one thing that has struck me with Billy is that he always is looking for space once he's released it, his eagerness to get the ball back is refreshing to see. Once again Young Sam capped a great performance with a goal, isn't it good to see that he's not even 19 until next year and is not far off of making it to 100 appearances already? Razor is probably playing the best football of his Hastings career, him and Ollie at the back look so solid together.
More like that and we will soon be pushing our ways into the play offs with all the games in hand. Well done boys very impressive today.

What an excellent performance from all the guys today. I found it quite difficult to pick out a MoM due to how great they all played! The south park keeper was very amusing and made us laugh with his funny banter. A great guy. I enjoyed being able to relax more during match today and just enjoy it. Well done to all for some great enertainment

super game from Hastings today for first minute to last. even in the warm up today we looked like we mean business unlike in other games where we look not interested. could have been double figures and we made South Park look very ordinary. Hard to pick a player of match the only one that was not in for it was Pelling. I though Crutwell was superb again and would have thought he was on contract already? great we play football on the floor and our passing is better and players look to find space and we have lots of movement in side. shame less than 300 people see it another very disappoining crowd

Not too much more to add...it's just a shame we always seem to produce our best performances for the smallest crowds !
As others have said it was impossible to pick MotM today. Razor must have been in with a shout; solid at the back and making/scoring the first two. Ollie was excellent; he has been the great asset that we hoped. However the award had to come from the midfield today where we were awesome and South Park chased shadows all game. I'd probably have just given it to Billy today for his sheer work rate and creativity but Simon, and the two Sams were all impressive.
I'm sure Garry now feels he has found the style and quality of player to really challenge for honours in this league....and if today is anything to go by it's going to be an entertaining journey.

Really good game overall especially the first half where South Park were torn apart again & again, wouldn't have been over the top to have been 5 up by the end of the half. The style of play was exceptional at times with short rapid passing mixed up with very effective direct passes. Great stuff all round and looks like Jack Harris has defiantly got his confidence back and hopefully he can really push on from here.

Regarding the crowd I can only assume that people are just looking at the lowley current position in the table and not realising the reality of how many fewer games we've played compared to the others. Once we catch up a bit and hopefully shoot up the table and back into the playoff places then would expect to see them return in higher numbers.

I see Tunbridge Wells had a Alfie Hall in their FA Vase line up on Saturday. Presume it is the same one. If so, is he on a dual registration? Sorry to see Ashford United are having financial problems following the installation of their 3G pitch.

I see the match report on the South Park website says they had trouble with the slope.....errr...I must have played on the PF 100-odd times and never noticed a slope...did I miss something...or was I too engrossed to notice??

I think they must have had a problem getting up the ramp to the clubhouse after the match. That's a really bad slope, especially when wet.

Not as good as Hornchurch reports use to be of our sloping pitch. They was always very funny to read
