In the Robert Dyas Cup round 2 we will play against
The club from Tonbridge is the currently number 3 in the Premier Division table.
After the FA exit maybe - and looking already to our game next Saturday against Tooting - the Management will try to play a different style of football then only the long balls.
Tonbridge play at : Tonbridge Angels FC, Longmead Stadium, Darenth Avenue Tonbridge
Have all a safe journey!

What do you think? We don't have any chance so let 1. Bring in some '' new '' players from the bench; 2. Time to change tactics or 3. League is the most important so let go..... OR... Give it all and try the utmost to win this game...
Well, well, well. What an evening. Conceding so early after only 46 seconds was a sucker punch, but credit to our lads for sticking with it. The ball was closed down well, and we were hungry for the ball. A terrible mix-up from the defender and the keeper gifted Temba the equaliser after 11 minutes. A great move from Tonbridge gave them the lead, absolute class and you can see why their high-flyers in the Ryman Prem. Bright had two chances to equalise before half time, both fantastic. Clean through he tries to chip the keeper but went wide and the other was just cutting through the defence but the keeper saving.
Second half was anyone's game. Tonbridge produced some fine moves of such high quality, but ultimately their finishing really let them down. We continued to press and Sam Cole's sublime ball in was beautifully taken in the volley from Tyrell Richardson-Brown. Both Tyrell and Bright had been so good throughout the game with their pace.
Billy and Jack came on deep in the second half as penalties loomed and then Josh Pelling came up with the heroics. Pelling saved Lee Carey's penalty and saved again, and then again! Absolute class from Pells!
I suppose we were lucky at times with Tonbridge's finishing letting them down, but I can't fault the commitment and willingness shown by our boys tonight. Good performance and a good result.
Well don't think any of us there saw that coming, especially after 1 minute. But credit to all, we stuck at it gave 100% throughout. A lot more passing and fewer long balls from both sides made the game enjoyable to watch. Yes the defence looked vulnerable at times, but to counter that we looked capable of scoring throughout. Yes we may have been slightly indebted to poor Tonbridge finishing but this was far from robbery, and the combination of well taken penalties along with Josh making 3 fine save saw us through. And again leaves us with more questions than answers. So it is down to the management and team to get some consistency in our performances.
Can't disagree with that. Having Bright and Tyrell upfront made a hell of a difference. I'm not saying don't play the likes of Billy, Zac and Jack, I'm just saying that I really hope Bright and Tyrell proved themselves as a good strike force tonight and they'll get more game time. The Tonbridge back four really struggled with the pace of the pair of them, and if they get regular game time, our options going forward are really very good.
I can't disagree that if Tonbridge had finished their chances better then we wouldn't of been in the next round, having said that we had a couple of chances to win the game too. Once again I thought Tom was superb at the back, personally I feel he's had five very good games lately, shame he will be suspended for Saturday . You'd never leave a fit Razor out so I'd suspect that the back four or three which is how we played last night, would be rearranged slightly to accommodate Tom. For what it's worth I think that when we've played three at the back our performances look better and maybe the key to cut out the long ball game that we are all baffled about.
Must give credit to Tyrell and Bright who I thought looked very good last night and both took their goals well. Once again Sam Cole was proving difficult to handle and Johnson worked tirelessly. Hopefully the performance and the win will carry over to Saturday's game, confidence must surely be high after last night? None more so than with Pells, three great saves from the spot when we've all been willing him to get to one.
Well done lads very pleased with last night.
Well done to the lads last night, a great win against pretty much a full strength Tonbridge side flying high in the Premier.
I do hope your right Barry about the confidence as there has been an ongoing theme this year after our very few good performances. Win our first 2 games then lose at Chatham who have barely won a game since. Win 2 on the road then put in our worst performance of the season at home to Carshalton. Beat Dorking and then put in a shocker at home to Worthing. Completely dominate Wroxham and then put that performance in against Poole.
We need some consistency and if we can win 2 or 3 on the bounce you can possibly see this team going on a very long unbeaten run. Looking at our next 9 league games (6 at home), Worthing away will be tough, there is no reason whatsoever why we should not be looking at winning all of them.
good to see it was a better performance with more of the team made up of fringe players that sound like they want to play football more than what we normally see. disappointing we done it in a competition that not important shame it was not like that on saturday but hope it is a wake up call to management to get team playing more football and if the expensive players cant do it play the youngsters so they can entertain us. looking at games aboves look like we have a chance to get a few wins and move up table. Worthing, Faversham and South Park only teams that may upset that
