Been a strange one this since day 1. Probably our best player in pre season and massive clamour by all supporters to get him signed of which the board and management obliged. He then had a stop start season due to injury but during his brief performances still looked the most likely to unlock defences and always had that bit of flair which we badly lack at times. In his last appearance against Worthing he was average but still the best of a very poor bunch. Also noticed he wasn't tracking back particularly well but does Sam Crabb? Not sure if he was training regularly but using him as an unused sub in the last few games certainly isn't going to help. I am really disappointed as I know others will be, especially when you look at the form of young Max and not sure Chris Cumming-Bart is much better. Lets hope we don't have another Ronnie Dolan on our hands and we live to regret it. There again, keep up Tuesday nights form and I guess all will be forgotten pretty soon.
Shame to lose him as I thought he was a bit special. Let's hope the lad finds a good team and reaches his full potential, which I believe is higher than Ryman South. Have to say if we play as well as we did in the first half on Tuesday for the rest of the season we won't be concerned about the one that got away.

I'm very sorry to see him go. I agree with what else John says above, but I thought he played considerably better than average in the first half against Worthing; and I hoped that that would be a herald for better things and a regular start. Sadly, not so. What is clear is that we had (and I think still have) too many forward players to keep all playing regularly and happy. And, of course, the budget is (as it should be) a factor too. The danger in such a situation is that we might well choose to release the wrong players.
Yes Dave; I agree with you entirely that we must respect and accept Garry's decisions, even when some of our personal choices might have gone in a different direction. Perhaps, regarding Stephen, it might once more have been the curse of 'travel difficulties' which was the deciding factor.

Don't think I have seen such unilateral support for one player on this forum. Fitness can be sorted but if travelling is the issue then why did we sign him and why was he so keen to travel down and trial with us? I mentioned Ronnie Dolan but this sounds more like the Jamahl King saga. Travelling was the reason we let him go and yet on twitter he said he never wanted to leave. Perhaps a big signing is imminent to ease all our worries?
What a big loss n a mistake in my eyes really genuine lad had time talk to fans could tell he was unhappy with playing time, he offered something no one else did in our team as for wingers who else we got who is better except Sam Cole but I mean for the right wing ??
This is a classic example of a player appearing to be let go for a reason not related to match day performance. We can all guess why he has left, but will have to wait find out if we ever do.
Shame to see him go,especially so soon.As said,he gave us width on the right and could cross a ball.Looks like a poor time to release such a good player with important cup ties coming up.Obviously not happy with playing time given to him in the light of our efforts to sign him.Hope he finds a club that will recognise his talent
From what I heard he had a bad attitude, a poor trainer when he turned up, not punctual match days. I liked him as a player, but if I was a team mate I wouldn't be happy if he got picked in front of me given the above.
