After another great win and as the proud leader of the league we will now play against ChathamTown.png

DSC_0001  We will play the game at: Chatham Town F.C. , The Sports Ground , Maidstone Road, Chatham, Kent ( picture from the Chatham website)

Between the seasons 2011-12 and 2014-15, Chatham Town played without notable success in Isthmian League Division 1 North. From the start of this season 2015-16, the club has played in Isthmian League Division 1 South.

First 2 games with a big win at Peachehaven 0-4 and a loss home against South Park 1-2.

And we? Not only we have the best Groundsman of the year in the squad ( '' our '' Simon Rudkins ) but also we have a team who are the number 1 in the table. After the great win against Chipstead we won yesterday 1-3 against Sittingbourne. Last season we scored in the first 8 league  games 9 times; we did score 9 in our first two games this season!

The team seems full of confidence; a nice word from last season it is gelling  again!. Sam Cole Sam Cole scored the first two goals in Hastings United's 3-1 win away to Sittingbourne. Picture courtesy Scott White ( picture from Scott White) has like Jack Harris scored already 3 times.

Would be nice if we can get another 3 points and with the big support from our supporters i don't see why not.....

Save journey to you all and like always: Come on your U'sssssssssssssssssssssssss!

Against South Park there were 135 spectators at The Sports Ground. How many today if the Leaders of The League are coming?

Big reality check today. Very average performance from the lads today against a more than decent Chatham side, with too many players way off the level expected. Sam Adams apart, way too many players put in very poor performances with Cole, Crabb and Vickers and Attwood all anonymous throughout the their time on the pitch. For some reason our neat passing game from the previous week disappeared and we appeared to have returned to the bad old days of long ball, which clearly wasn't working against the two excellent Chatham centre backs. Chatham appeared quicker and sharper all over the field and in their left winger (no11), had the best player on the field, who caused us problems all day. As reported on Tuesday, we looked suspect at the back today once again and Smith struggled throughout against the big physical presence Chatham had up front.

Positives today were Sam Adams as per usual, who was easily our best player, and I thought Max did well in the centre before tiring late on, but outside of that all very average.

And perhaps the biggest positive of today is that this result should now bring everyone back down to earth. I saw this week that we were as low as 2/1 with one bookmaker to win the league, but on today's showing we are way off that at the moment, but absolutely no panic because I still think we have a fantastic squad and management team, and expect to see us back to winning ways next Tuesday.

And a special word for the referee today who was quite possibly one of the worst I have ever seen. That's not why we lost but you had to be there to believe some of his decision making.

Spot on John ,100% accurate, a big reality check. As for the referee almost Vosperesque in some of his decision making.

Well said John, but I am a bit concerned as there was some walking today a couple of players showed no urgency to get back and defend, hopefully a blip and just that. As for the ref what a clown, whoever let him lose at senior level should be questioned. The assesors book looked rather full late in the game.

Your right Chris. Not sure if Sam Crabb was injured but once he was pushed into midfield he made no effort whatsoever to track back and when he lost the ball he was walking. Like I said, benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was injured

Positives were a decent friendly ground to go to and also a pretty decent programme, parts of the first half were good too and we conceded a deflected goal and a pen ( couldn't see if warranted or not )

As mentioned above, we were off our game ( especially second half ) and paid the price for it.would have liked to have seen Tyrell come in for Crabb on the RW at some point who was struggling.

Losing not a huge concern so early especially as I'm sure Garry will ensure the players become aware of the reasons for it and work on ensuring it doesn't happen again in this manner.

Great away support again, 60 or so Hastings fans. very impressive.

Scott White managed to capture Sammys disallowed goal yesterday......seems a bit harsh in my opinion, I thought benefit of doubt went to the attacking side? Ok Jacks fractionally offside but considering Sam shot he's not interfering with play is he?

Flag was up as he shot, if Sam was onside then goal should have stood. You need a picture of Sam when the ball was played to him.

Have just looked at the Worthing v Faversham game on Football Web Pages and a couple of times they highlighted on video that the Faversham forward was onside when the ball was kicked but flagged offside by the linesman - very clear to see!
It just makes me wonder with the officials at this level how many decisions are wrong and can really affect results.

Ironically one of the assistants was from Chatham on Saturday, I'm not sure which one but in my opinion it's not great organising.

Thought having an official from the town of play was against rules of the FA of the League though?

Match highlights of sorts. Not quite the exciting action Dan films at the Pilot Field, more of a chilled out experience. With the filming and music I have this vision of the camera man with a big spliff in his gob.

Was half expecting some subliminal message to pop up halfway through the video.
The first 5 seconds was like an acid trip!
