Great game, typically I didn't film it as got there too late from work to pick up the tripod from joe but there were some decent goals the pick of which for me was Zac's after a great run & dribble and a good finish.
Liam Fosters was decent too.
The 2nd half side looked very dominant for most of their time on the pitch and expect that to form the basis of our main side. Our number 8 Alan Foster was once again very good considering he's not even played County League football before.
Jack Harris hit the post twice and hopefully he gets his goal soon to get him going. Razor scoring was great to see and still can't believe he didby get any at all last season.

Good, entertaining pre season friendly Last night. The first half team appeared to be mainly made up of reserves and trialists And they did ok. The front two (Tyrell and Bright) were a handful all half but as last season just miss too many chances, whilst the lad out on the left (don't know his name) looked full of tricks and skill. Apart from that no one really shone out for me and defensively we looked very average. Second half the big guns came out and we looked a different side. Zac scored a terrific opener and his partnership with Harris, who hit the post twice looks extremely promising. Like the look of Cole down the left as well, very strong and quick. And young Foster looks a good find. Would just like to see a big dominating centre back alongside Razor and we perhaps look a little lightweight in the centre of the park but all in all very promising and the lads looked fit and sharp. Tougher test to come on Thursday.
United XI first half: 1 Josh Pelling, 2 Jerome Jibodu, 3 Andy Corrigan, 4 Harvey Hanifan, 5 Sean Ray (c), 6 Jean-Marie Mendes, 7 Liam Foster, 8 Sam Cruttwell, 9 Bright Temba, 10 Tyrell Richardson-Brown, 11 Matt Cunnington.
United XI second half: 1 Josh Pelling (Dan Rose 83), 2 Sam Crabb, 3 Jerome Jibodu, 4 Sam Cooper, 5 Sean Ray (c), 6 Jack Walder, 7 Max Hollobone, 8 Alan Foster, 9 Zac Attwood, 10 Jack Harris, 11 Sam Cole.
I know it's a friendly, and the score 5-3 reflects that, but I was very impressed with the offensive nature of our play, the ease in which we got into their final 3rd was impressive, the squad is almost complete and balanced now in my opinion, first half obviously fielding a younger aged team in so making some defensive mistakes but even so positives were showing, especially Matt cunnigton on the left who looked a natural left winger type and a very useful crosser of the ball, great to also see Sam crutwell playing a more creative role in midfield aswell, 2nd half the team really imposed themselves on Eastbourne, Zacs goal was total class and very glad to have his quality back here, Jack Harris also looks a right handful and technically very good and unlucky not too score so hopefully a good partnership In store? gillingham will be a lot fitter regardless what team they bring , so a good test at hand!
