For those of you that do not know where Wroxham is, it is the other side of Norwich on the Norfolk Broads the best part is 180 miles, a proper day out.
They are spending some serious money at Ashford Utd. Have already signed striker Paul Booth and a host of others and claim to be awaiting clearance on a loan deal for an international star. Hope he's better than Branco! Wroxham is a long, long way and certainly somewhere I have never been.
Chris: I quite agree. It will do no good at all, of course, but I feel that the club and supporters are entitled to an explanation from the FA of how this could happen.
The travellings an issue equally bad if not worse for the team as well as the fans though to be fair Doeboy at this early stage in the Trophy. Big disadvantage to travel that far.
Doeboy, I don't like moaning either, but there are times when it's reasonable to moan and it's unreasonable not too. Yes, of course, it's up to supporters to go or not go as they choose and it could be a great day out; but the draw is supposed to be regionalised and its right in my view to draw it to the FA's attention that their 'system', whatever that might be, has delivered a bizarre draw that hands an unreasonable advantage to the home side. Of course, they will take little notice, but if attention is not drawn to error then there's less basis to complain when that is repeated. (As I expect the Ryman league to come up with another 'local' fixture for us over the New Year period!)
100% with Chris on this one, why should supporters at this level be expected to do a 320 mile round trip ?

Not a problem in ryman premier as its a step up, but this is a prelim tie that is supposed to be regionalised, if early rounds cant be better organized then why bother at all, and what if its a draw a Tuesday reply in Hastings bet Wroxham would enjoy that.
I'm told by our Mr Cosens that the Trophy isn't regionalised due to there not being som many teams involved as the FA cup. Apparently we aren't the only Sussex side with a long trip someone has to drive to Tiverton.
I mentioned how a possible midweek replay would be frowned upon by Wroxham to the chairman this morning, not quite the proportions of Harrogate but still a very late trip home.
Wroxham is a joke draw at such an early stage of the competition - but then we have become spoiled in a weird way here in Ryman South with so many local fixtures. Take away the freak factor in Guernsey and our longest haul is Ramsgate - 160 mile round trip which is nothing compared to what Hastings Town did in those Southern Premier days when our "local" derby for two or three seasons was a 90 mile round trip to Crawley. Wroxham will bring back memories of trips to Kings Lynn etc if nothing else - but it's a funny old draw as rightly pointed out elsewhere. As for whoever got Tiverton - welcome to that. That one season we played them, the away fixture piled 510 miles onto my odometer.
