The club have seen that queries have been raised on replica shirt pricing particularly in respect of the new yellow change shirt. The club are mindful that where possible they should listen to supporters views whilst still operating under its own decision making processes.
Perhaps those raising queries have not realised that once any shirt has all its sponsors logos and club badge placed on it the price in general doubles when compared with just the shirt price in its plain state.
The club set the new home shirt price at £39.99 including VAT this price includes a deliberately minimal mark-up on each garment. The home shirt as previously announced is a bespoke manufactured garment thus more expensive than a standard brochure shirt.
Quite correctly supporters have identified that the new yellow change shirt is a standard brochure shirt which is priced to the club at £12.30 per garment. This price is doubled once the club badge and two sponsors logos are applied and that figure is of course before the club apply any service mark-up for taking, handling and supplying replica shirt orders.
The club have looked again at the pricing for the yellow change shirt and are reducing the price to £29.99 per garment including VAT. Supporters will realise that if the plain shirt costs £12.30 and it then doubles in price with the addition of the club badge and sponsors logos that the club will earn very little on a shirt when you bear in mind the club has administrative costs to also cover in respect of taking orders and then handling and supplying orders.
I would suggest the club looks elsewhere if they are being charged £12 for the badge and advertising. Trust me I know how much it costs as have just been there with my local cricket club.

We have a lucrative sponsorship deal with the kit supplier, to look elsewhere would firstly put us in breach of contract and secondly mean we would loose a lot of money in sponsorship and leave us substantially out of pocket.
Thanks Barry that explains a lot, what are Macron stores sponsoring then? It needs to be lucrative if they are charging 100% over the odds for badge and sponsorship. By the way I do think £29.99 is a fair price for the away shirt. Do you know when the shop will go online, as it shouldn't take them that long to set up?
The contract with Macron is to supply all of our kit, training kit, bench wear, team wear, kit bags, equipment etc etc the list is quite extensive, not just for a single season but several, and runs into a considerable amount.
I don't have any update on the online website I'm afraid, it was something I looked into last season and in fact got as far as actually building a website, however due to issues surrounding online payments and bank charges for card transactions it proved very difficult. As soon as I am aware of any news on that front I will post on here.
Macron Store Hastings/Superstitch86 have had a Technical sponsorship with Hastings United FC for the past 6 years. During this time Macron Store Hastings/Superstitch86 have donated to Hastings United FC over £26,000 worth of Free of Charge products, which included all playing kits, training wear, match day garments and Ryman Bench wear. We are again, for this coming season, providing a Technical sponsorship to Hastings United FC plus we have entered into a deal to cover the following season this deal being worth a minimum of £5,000 over the two years in terms of Macron products. There is also an option for the club and ourselves to extend the deal for a further 2 years. It is our understanding supporters and the general public have not been made fully aware of our involvement by the previous regime at the club and thus in terms of our full level of commitment and sponsorship that we as Macron Store Hastings/Superstitch86 have provided to Hastings United FC over the past 6 years. Therefore, we are extremely disappointed that we are having to defend ourselves with regards to comments on this forum for what we and Hastings United FC consider is a very lucrative sponsorship deal.
We would also like to address the subject of embroidery and print cost on the yellow change shirts. Although Chris B is correct in stating our embroidery/print cost is £12, this is actually £10+VAT. The club logo is just short of 18,000 stitches, the main club sponsor is a two colour chest print with the back sponsor a single colour print. Macron Store Hastings have also offered to add a name and number to the back of all pre-ordered home and away replica's completely free of charge if required. This offer was put forward as a little extra service to supporters wanting to support the club. Unlike other clubs at this level who order 50 - 100+ replica's at a time, historically Hastings United FC have purchased Replica shirts on an individual basis as and when required. This season the club have pre-ordered a considerable amount of home bespoke replica shirts compared to previous years. It stated on the Forum that the price for the embroidered club logo, two colour sponsors logo to the chest and one colour sponsor logo to back should be £6
(£5+VAT), in our opinion this would fall short of even covering the material costs coupled with the fact the away shirts are ordered in very small quantities. Our embroidery/print costs are therefore extremely competitive.
We hope the above confirms our commitment and continued support of Hastings United FC.
We would finally add by the way that it is apparent that the club is only going to make a very minimal amount on each replica shirt sale the club having advised us they only required to do this because they wanted to offer their supporters a good deal.

There will be a temporary online shop available in the next few weeks, this will be part of the superstitch86 website as The Macron store Hastings website is still under construction. I hope this helps?
Not sure why Superstitch need to defend themselves or the club need to be dropping the price of the shirts. As far as I can see all we have done is take another £10 out of the clubs pockets for every shirt they sell. Just find the whole thing a bit pathetic personally. The shirts are here for two years, is it really that bigger deal whether you pay £30 or £40? Its in line with most of other clubs and its extra revenue the club could really do with.
Can't agree john would not have paid £39 but will pay £29 so they will get money from me they wouldn't have, and I expect others may feel the same way. And if it bothers you that much I am sure you can pay £39 for yours.
I would like to thank Macron for their past and continued sponsorship of our club and hope that it continues for many years to come. I believe that the majority of supporters would echo John's comments and want to see this forum not used to undermine the efforts of the board to take us forward and upward.
John says shirts here for 2 seasons but we was told that last season when the kit deal announce but we only had 1 year for a very nice shirt. i know this time with new sponsor and 2 year deal that will not happen this time. yes deal looks very generous but when my son played for youth teams I spend fortunes at superstitch on kit and there are lot of kids in youth section so think superstitch do well out of the deal and youth teams
