The Club is delighted to announce that Sherlock Consultancy will be its new Associate Sponsor, having agreed a deal that will cover both the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, with their name and logo to feature on the back of United's shirts.

Peter Sherlock, the Managing Director of Sherlock Consultancy, has taken the sponsorship in order to support the Club in achieving its aims for the next couple of years, whilst also complimenting his own business activities in the town.

"We feel that our skills in regeneration and development planning will be a support to the Board of Directors in delivering their vision and plans for the Club", he said.

"Sherlock Consultancy has a significant track record in the delivery of major projects and programmes, and can bring expertise and advice to ensure that value is created as a way of supporting improved sports participation. We are excited to work alongside the Club in a way that delivers the best outcomes for both the Club and the fans."

New home and change kit designs were recently announced on the website, and the new sponsors' logos will now be added by Macron Store. Supporters will be able to purchase the new shirts from the Club and from Macron Store in due course, with advance orders now being taken, and a preview of both can be seen below.

Sounds to me like this new sponsor will be involved in either the redevelopment of the Pilot Field or maybe even a move elsewhere. Interesting.

Just by reading the statement mate and how they make a point in describing their skills in projects and redevelopment, the fact our other sponsor is a commercial property specialist ties in too.

Both very good people to have on board at this vital time whether we stay at the PF or not. I may be incorrect with the above point but personally don't think it's a coincidence that two such company's have come on board at the same time. Good planning by the board if I'm correct.

I think you may be reading too much into this Dan.
I, however, would prefer to stay at the PF.

Regarding comments above about a potential move from Pilot Field, in principle I am in favour. Pilot Field's facilities are ageing and will be unsustainable in the medium term without major work. It is hard to see where the money for major refurbishment of Pilot Field could come from if the club and supporters had to self finance. A new site, with other partners, Council support, etc could provide a solution; and a way for us to aspire to playing football at a significantly higher level. But the financial dangers are profound. If things go wrong, they can go very badly wrong indeed - as many clubs at our level and beyond can testify.

What is essential, is that the club initiates a full debate about what it wants to do, and is then as transparent as it can be, within the constraints of commercial confidentiality, about how it intends to go about it.

I think a new stadium especially one near the centre of the town ( as opposed to Queensway for instance which I was never a fan of ) would do wonders for the club especially if there was a 3G training pitch alongside it somehow as the town and its young sportsmen would also benefit massively. I love the Pilot Field but there are many reasons why it might be time to move on.

I can't think of anywhere nearer to the town centre that would be big enough to build a new ground .Please don't say the Oval ,,, it was never big enough even when Travaux stopped playing there in the late 60's ,.. And that was without any stands ! ....I know ,,, let's dig up Priory Meadow and return it to a sports venue 😏... So for me ,, we stay put and develope what is a natural stadium . If the council could actually let The Firs be developed into a 3G pitch , then CHING CHING ...you have yourself the perfect site ...but this is Hastings...and we'll still be talking about this in ten years time ...same as we did ten years ago !

Sorry Chris ... I wasn't aware that the last owner owned The Firs 😏...I get what you are saying but this issue goes back before the last owner ..the fact is the council are only interested in keeping the DFL's ( Down From London's) happy !!! I hope ,,,really hope to be proved wrong !

That is quite sad if it is that price, someone is making in excess of £20 a shirt as those shirts can be bought plain for about £12, can understand home shirt as its unique. But away is off peg

Peter, I am right if you look on a kit website they are priced at £12.15 and you can get as few as you like. And they must be making a profit.
