Just some light news in the middle of all the exciting transfer gossip but i am pleased to announce that Hastings United supporters team have been invited to a charity event being held on Saturday 18th July, 2-6pm at Crowhurst, to support the 'Out of the blue' charity. This charity supports many different projects including suicide, something which is very close to the guys at Crowhurst FC as this has effected them directly over recent times. Taking part will be a Crowhust veteran side along with Crowhurst A&B teams so there may well be as many as 3 games on the day.
We are really delighted to take part in this day and I think it is fantastic for the club that people and clubs are contacting us and asking us to be part of these fund raisers. All the Crowhurst players are being sponsored £100 each by local firms and we will be making individual donations on the day to support their cause as we did for the recent 'Ruby Laura smash cancer' evening, which raised nearly £2000
I will forward more details nearer the time but if anyone else would like to take part in the day please let me know. We have around 18-20 members of the supporters team but if anyone else would like to come along on the day, or indeed come along to training on a Thursday night at the firs, we would be delighted for you to come along.
Massive well done to the Hastings United supporters team yesterday who helped raise £3400 for the Out of the Blue charity. We lost the game 6-4 to Crowhurst FC but all had a fantastic day for a great cause. Thanks to all who took part and for their generous donations. These kind of events can only highlight how Hastings United, under the new owners, are trying to be more active in the community.
Some videos from the build up attached.

Well done to you all John a fantastic amount raised. Incidentally the fundraising for young Ruby who you and the team helped raise over £2000 in the charity match at The Pilot Field at the end of last season, has now topped the £500000 mark that they were hoping to raise to send her to America.
