New United management duo Garry Wilson and Danny Bloor have confirmed two further additions to their squad for the 2015/16 campaign, with Sam Adams and Sam Cruttwell both having committed to remain at the Pilot Field.

Adams is coming off another successful season, which saw him finish as the U's leading scorer with thirteen goals in all competitions, and the only player to reach double figures in fact, as well as jointly topping the assist chart with seven, alongside Taser Hassan.

Although forced to miss a handful of games in the final couple of months, Adams still played a crucial part in United's battle to avoid relegation, grabbing the only goal of a vital Easter Monday win at Ramsgate, and then firing two more as the U's beat Faversham in their final home fixture.

Earlier in the year, the former skipper brought up a century of goals for the Club and now stands on 103 in 387 career appearances. And at still only twenty-eight years of age, United supporters will be hoping for more of the same from Adams for many years to come.

Cruttwell is another player with a bright future ahead of him, although he endured a frustrating and injury hit 2014/15 season, in which he was unable to fully establish himself in the starting eleven, yet still made thirty-nine appearances and contributed one goal and six assists.

It remains to be seen what role the eighteen year old will be play next term, with left sided full back Sam Cole having already agreed to join the U's from Lewes, although Cruttwell certainly hasn't looked out of place when played on the left wing, or even in a central midfield role, since making his debut in August 2013.

Wilson has also confirmed two appointments to his backroom team, with John Masters set to retain his role as goalkeeping coach, which will see him continue to work with United's returning number one Josh Pelling, while Dane Martin is also set to stay with the Club as physio.

The two Sams staying is very, very good news. Not only because they are very good players but especially Adams is one of ''our'' own ! He is rough and through Hastings and that is very important for a lot of supporters !

I Agree with you Bert.

I Don't know about Sam Adams being Rough but he is certainly Hastings Through and Through! Lol biggrin

As with Sam Crutwell we tend to forget that he is still only 18, so excellent news all round I think.

I guess the big news is Razor. I would have thought as captain and player of the season he would have been the very first player we would have spoken too. Perhaps a bit of concern we have had no news on him yet? Lets hope we can tie him up quickly and find a big commanding centre half to sit in along side him now Josh has returned to the States. Must admit that Matt Caley looked really impressive in his couple of appearances before injury at Tooting. Could we get him back on loan perhaps?
