The Club is pleased to confirm some changes to its admission pricing policy for the 2015/16 campaign, with a reduction in the cost of concessionary tickets, and an adjustment to the free entry age limit.

One detail that remains unaltered is the price of an adult ticket, which will continue to cost £10, but those entitled to a concessionary ticket will see a 25% reduction to £6, this benefit being available to disabled visitors, senior citizens aged sixty-five and over, and students upon presentation of an N.U.S. card.

It has also been decided to reduce the age limit for those entitled to free admission to the Pilot Field next season, this now being available to those under the age of eighteen, as opposed to the previous under twenty-one threshold.

As has previously been the case, proof of age and/or eligibility will be required from anyone claiming concessionary or free admission to the ground next season. Failure to do so upon request will lead to the full adult price being charged in all cases.

Season tickets for next season will be available from June 1, and prices have been adjusted in line with the new policies outlined above. The adult ticket price will remain unchanged at £172, with concessionary season tickets down to £104, while holders of 2014/15 season tickets will be entitled to claim a £5 discount upon renewal, as long as they can produce last season's ticket as proof of eligibility. This discount is in compensation for the free admission offered to all spectators at the final home game of last season against Faversham Town.

The annual programme of summer maintenance work is due to get underway this Saturday, May 16, commencing at 10.00am, and continuing on a weekly basis, overseen by Barrie West, the Club's new Management Committee Chairman.

As in previous years, supporters are invited to please spare whatever time they can and to come along and assist with a variety of tasks that should hopefully cater for all DIY abilities, ranging from cleaning, decorating and tiling the changing rooms, to repainting the dugouts, installing six press seats and tables in the main stand, and many more besides.

Tomorrow is the closing date for applications to be received for the vacant First Team Manager's position, with United Chairman, Dave Ormerod, advising that a number of candidates have already been shortlisted for interview, This stage of the process is expected to be undertaken throughout next week, with the Board hoping to announce an appointment as soon as possible thereafter.

Lastly for this news update, the pre-season friendly programme has started to take shape, with three fixtures already having been confirmed. Ryman Premier side Kingstonian will visit the Pilot Field on Saturday, July 18, with the U's due to take on Eastbourne Town at The Pilot Field three days later, and travelling to recently crowned Division One South champions Burgess Hill Town on Wednesday, July 29. Please keep an eye on the fixture section of the home page for further additions to the schedule in the coming weeks.

All sounds very fair, and encouraging about the new managerial appointment.

Yes, I too think this is well thought out on ticket prices. Also, I like the pre-season friendlies; all of those are attractive and will provide tests in different ways for whatever squad our new man might put together.

Please note the edited post re Eastbourne Town the fixture is at The Pilot Field and not at The Saffrons as previously posted. Sorry for any confusion.
