After the better performance and great 6 points last weekend we will now face
South Park is currently 14th in the table with 42 games played and got 52 points.
They won 15, drew 7 and lost 20. Scored 70 and conceded 96 goals ; the highest amount of conceded goals in the league.
Top scorer is Chris Smith and also in the league with 30 goals ! ( picture from the South Park website)
Their last 4 home games were high and low; 2 wins against Ramsgate and Carshalton but also heavy defeats against Guernsey 1-7 and Worthing 0-7 !
They play at King George's Field, Whitehall Lane, South Park ,Reigate , Surrey
And we ? After a great weekend with 2 wins i think with a win Saturday we will be safe. East Grindstead and Ramsgate are heaving a lighter program but one of those 2 will finish below us if we beat South Park. Good to see Sam Adams back and scoring the winner but i think he is not available for this game. Hopefully the other injured players are back again in the squad. Hopefully a lot of Hastings supporters will make the journey to Surrey and make it three in a row! Come on your U'sssssssssssssss!

Great story South Park. Believe it or not some of us had a good conversation with their keeper during the match when they were at the Pilot Field we were told that not only are they generally made up by a group of mates who have been together right through youth football but also that none of them are paid. Perhaps Dave O can dig into that deep wallet of his and offer Chris Smith a bit of an enticer to sign next season. To score 30 goals for that team is an incredible achievement and remember him scoring a hat trick at the Pilot Field including a 30 yard stunner.
He's bloody good that Chris Smith. I quite fancy us getting something from this game. South Park have been on rotten form recently and Bert highlighted that they've had some heavy defeats this season. But this is Hastings, we beat Faversham 5-1 and lost 2-0 to Horsham, who knows what will happen?!
Wow Liam! sorry to get off subject but just clicked on your charity work in Kabubbu and interview with Phillip Schofield under your name on this thread. Great work mate, you should be proud of yourself. ill make sure I make a donation for you.
Believe Lewes made him a very good offer earlier this season but he turned them down as he wanted to stay at SP, if he wouldn't join them in Ryman Prem unlikely he'd join us I'd imagine but you never know.

Thanks mate! On the video it's slightly wrong - there's a space between Kabu and 49. Please do it without the space, so KABU49! Thank you! It's certainly something I still can't quite believe I was lucky enough to do!
Lost 2-3. If we could kept it to 2-2 would have been a important point. With EG getting 1 point and Ramsgate winning we are again in trouble......
Depending on what the performance was like, I don`t think we are any worse off than we were, Ramsgate have to win on Tuesday, even a draw is no good for them, but it more important than ever that we win next Saturday, and it wont be easy.
With Guernsey losing at home to Hythe today , who knows what will happen on Tuesday !! We have to hope Faversham will be taking it easy before the play offs ,,, but I doubt it ,,, we gotta get something from that game now !
We lose to Faversham and EG beat Tooting and Ramsgate beat Guernsey and Horsham we are down on Saturday. Keep hearing rumours but does someone know categorically that 3rd from bottom will not go down ?
Performance in 2nd half was good but a bit gung ho after 2nd goal led to them scoring their third. Felt a bit robbed of the point tbh but that's what happens when they have a 33 goal striker!!
Also ( and genuinely not disrespect to SP ) but the ground was County 2 standard with temporary sheeting along the edges etc, how is that a real Ryman quality ground?
Hmmm....the position appeared relatively comfortable this morning but how quickly things change. Realistically Redhill can't catch us now but you have to fancy Ramsgate to get at least a draw against Guernsey in a "nothing" midweek game for the visitors.
We are now in the position that if things go against us we could be condemned to the bottom three after next Saturday's game....on the other hand if results go for us we could already be safe. Realistically you feel it's going to come down to the final game. Like John, I would like to hear that 22nd would be safe....because I have a horrid feeling........
Right up until we conceded The third Football web pages had Redhill relegated. It's going to be tight all the way now, I think it'll be tough to get anything next Saturday but who knows? I do however think we'll come away from Walton with at least a point.
Nice people and what a great bloke their keeper was, having a good bit of banter with us behind the goal. Dan we thought the same re their fence but looking more carefully you'll notice that they had a permanent fence with a sheet across it so quite acceptable for this league.
Few things are certain now, but short of Ramsgate losing against Guernsey midweek, and again on Saturday, while we beat Faversham, we cannot be safe until after the last game. We can however, as Mick says, be down by the final whistle on Saturday if the results were to go the other way. So, yes, that third relegation spot seems a very real possibility.
If it comes to that and then we get a reprieve of course we would take it; but if that decision were to be delayed for weeks then it creates a planning nightmare for the club - the playing budget would have to be radically different depending on which league we were in; and many players would be reluctant to commit even if we offered 'Ryman' wages.
To be honest the First Half was as poor a display from us that I have seen all season, with misplaced passes, hardly any attack and poor defending. we were fortunate to go in 2-1 down at Half Time courtesy of an OG.
Second Half was far better and we deservedly scored to bring it to 2-2, and I though an away point here would be brilliant and even better we may be able to get a win as we showed far more commitment than them in the second half. Then what happens they break away and score with probably their only shot on target in the second half, by Chris Smith who got a hat trick and has scored 6 goals against us this season.
I must say though that a combination of a very bumpy pitch and a strong wind made playing decent football very difficult
Then Olalekan Bankole got substituted and he didn't look very happy about it as Nigel Kane tried to talk to him but he just shrugged him off, took off his shirt and threw it into the dugout, then stormed off towards the changing rooms. Then someone from the dugout said that was the quickest he had seen him move all afternoon which was a bit unfair.
I know that no one likes to be substituted but I don't like seeing that sort of thing.
So all in all a very disappointing afternoon as I think we will have to win our last 2 games and hope East Grinstead and Ramsgate drop points.
Hugely frustrating to get nothing after a decent second half which saw United play all the football - but being where we are is down to a season long malaise hence now talking in terms of what the last three hours of football will result in.
Did not go Saturday, I did read in the match report that we made a sub. in the 88th minute then 2 more in the 93rd
minute, what on earth was all that about ?
