3 efforts, 1 corner against Folkestone after they conceded 5 goals. Is this really good enough Hastings, When are the strikers coming to play for us, we badly need them now to save our season and league status.
Exactly Chico. We can all see that the team's problems as far as results are concerned is that we either do not create enough chances or when we do we do we do not take them and this puts added pressure on our defence. For some time it has appeared obvious that Ade is having to lead the line, being always bashed and fouled by his marker, appearing not to get anything from the refs.On Saturday as you say we created very little up front ....It seems we are often to slow to get forward and support him.We certainly need forward players who are quick and can take defenders on. Yes we as regular supporters need to support and encourage the team at this time as I'm sure confidence must be low but surely now is the time to get a couple of quality loan players in to give the team and supporters a boost,as we have done in past seasons. One assumes the club should have some money from our great cup run still left .Our gates are getting smaller,so income must be falling and we do not seem to have sufficient quality to get many wins at the moment.Great to see we have a couple of youngsters coming through but as we are in a relegation fight not perhaps the time to play them except as late subs.
Totally agree Girling that we need to create more and get stronger support for Ade - maybe someone who can play just off him? Problem will always be that any available striker at this time of season is not firing very well, otherwise they wouldnt be on loan.We would need to loan from quite a bit higher in my opinion to try and net another Beautyman and a Pell. Can be done!
I hope we see more of Tyrell in the last few games just for his blistering pace and his delivery of the ball, but I do think we need more.
Being both a massive Villa and Hastings fan, I was really interested in listening to Tim Sherwood on Sky just now. His comment " I will not be bringing any of our excellent youngsters into the first team as a relegation battle is not a place for youngsters" mmmmm... Who would you trust, Kane or Sherwood?
Actually incorrect with regards to numbers. I am sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I understand, from someone who really should know, that we have well over 50 players registered to play for the first team, some I believe playing at other clubs. I was told this when I questioned how we managed to turn up at Hythe on news years day with one outfield sub.
Thinking of previous loan players great to see that Harry Beautyman signed for Peterborough on loan from Welling with a view to a permanent deal. Also Harry Pelling was released from Wimbledon in January from his contract and has joined Eastleigh . The two best loan players we had.
Talking of strikers what has happened to Zac Attwood? Barely played for Margate for months, is he injured? If not and he's not getting a game what a loan signing he would be. Still lives local and saw him at the Pilot Field over Xmas. Just a thought.
Can Ryman clubs 'loan' to each other? Think dual reg is for conf south and above? His wages would prevent us from taking on his contract in sure unfortunatly 😔
Sam Adams : 8
Kenny Pogue : 8
Ade Olorunda : 7
Taser Hasan : 5
You need a striker with 20 goals a season to be in the top half of the table and surely not in the bottom.
Of course is not only a striker's item ; our midfielders don't score enough too.
Keep in mind there are 3 Adams penalties and a Pogue hat trick in those totals it makes even bleaker reading. Absolutely amazed Razor hasn't scored this season either, you almost expect him to pop up with 7 or 8 a season.

Exactly Pat, a good loan striker and a winger who delivers from a good forward position, not from midfield. Ade is a great striker but he is having to work too hard to get the ball forward himself. We need to loan from league above now at this late stage, someone who can fit in quickly and give confidence to our team. As for the question of cost, we must still have enough FA cup money to buy our way out of this precarious position we are in now or suffer the consequences next season when our better players will reconsider staying with us should we be relegated.

Zac is still at Margate ,,, was on the bench again for them tonight in their 1-0 win at Leiston ...I think he's been on the bench for a while now .

Sherwood said Villa job was a "no brainer". I guess he was best qualified.
