After the 0-1 loss against Burgess Hill Town we will face a team who is also in the bottom of the table
Looking at the table this is a very, very important match for both teams.
The visitors are on place 21 with 24 games played and they got 24 points. 11 away games they played, won 3, drew 2 and lost 6.
Last season we won at home on August 26 with 3-1 ( goals Darby,Mclean and Pogue ) but lost away 5-0 on December 26 !
Important player for the Rams is still only 20 year old striker Tom Chapman
And we? Think this game can be crucial ;if we win we make a decent step but if we don't.........All the players and staff must give 100%. Then i hope that we see this a few times ( picture from Twitter, thebestofHastings ) Of course the supporters can have also a major and a positive part to bring in the 3 points. Support with all you have, be the 12th men and then i am sure we keep the points at our beautiful
The festive period is a great opportunity for us to get 6 very valuable points and move up the table. I know we all want to win every game but for me loosing the other night isn't the end of the world, the league has been the priority for a while now and pushing up the league to safety really would of been hindered by additional fixtures and back log of rearranged league games. I believe we have a great chance of picking up two wins from the next two games.
Well I didn't expect that.
I'm guessing the ref made a late inspection and decided the pitch was unfit.
Ramsgate players and fans will already have travelled, the programme's been written, the chips prepared and no doubt the rearranged fixture will be on a freezing Monday in January in front of 250 supporters. So really bad news all round.
Any comments from within the club on the state of the pitch and the decision to postpone it ?
Ok...thanks, John.
I have to say it never crossed my mind that the pitch wouldn't be fit but refs sometimes have odd ideas about what is and isn't playable.
Let's hope everyone from Ramsgate is OK.....that's the most important thing.
that a shame, looking forward to christmas football. heard rumour that they was struggling to get a side out before accident and there twitter say 2 gone to hospital bit suspisios? as mick says now on a midweek and a low gate
I don't think they would fake a car crash would they ?Let's hope all involved are ok ! Surely the arranged date is irrelevant at the moment ? It's just an unfortunate incident !
read story. still feel something not right here handy chairman was able to take players to hospital, he has a big car, is ambulance service that bad, players expecting treatment but did they need it. we got hammered last season and sure our player then not want long trip to north kent.stupid boxing day game anyway why a long one like this when should be local game. hope we stuff them when it is play again
I spoke to John Lambert the other night, JJ has had a couple of games for them already, and has eased himself through each game. Not sure if anyone else knew but JJ has been selected in the all America college squad.
