Brave move and no one can say he's hiding away. Lets hope any doubters also turn up and ask him questions face to face rather than accusations over a forum. Could be fiery and certainly informative. #bringbackdan

A couple of changes to this event:
Simon Rudkin and Dave Murphy will be answering questions at this event as they are both directors of the club. There will not be any questions taken except from those attending on the day.

I'm confused Steve, are you saying that Dave and Simon are answering questions as well as DW or is DW now not going to be present? It's a Chairmans forum not directors forum. Not that I had anything controversial to throw at him anyway but it's hardly worth holding now if  he's not there. I thought the whole idea of this forum was firstly his, and secondly, was to answer direct questions from those who have questioned him and his intentions on this very forum of late. Am I wrong? Why else do we need a forum? All very strangeno

With regards to the second sentence, Steve, you appear to be saying that whoever is there to answer questions will not accept any questions from anyone unable to attend for some reason.
Personally, I would have thought any questions sent in advance (via a private message or this forum) would be preferable to questions sprung on the day. It seems strange that someone who is unable to attend the meeting should be barred from asking a question that others would be interested in hearing an answer to.
I guess if you're concerned that someone may use this meeting for, say, "inappropriate point scoring" rather than asking genuine questions then just filter the questions out in advance.......but I feel it's rather heavy handed to say if you don't attend you cannot ask a question.

Agree with Mick. Set the whole thing up, agree a structure, everybody looks forward to it, a positive step and then this. Total waste of time. Might as well cancel it - it seems to me that the one person who people wanted to hear from isn't going to be there? Perhaps some of the questions submitted so far are too direct and challenging? Can we have an explanation, please?

Must admit, I do agree with some of what johnw has put here..no i haven't got anything to say at the forum, but always attend anyway. If he's missing it for personal or health stuff, then fair enough, but if not, I have to say on behalf of many people that I reckon he should be there

As for the other issue, I had only received one question so there is not really a problem

As far as I can see from reading this thread Steve has NOT said that DW is not attending - merely that Dave Murphy and Si ARE. Obviously I'd appreciate some clarification, but let's not jump to conclusions eh?

On the subject of whether written questions should be submitted, I'm not sure whether I see any problem with that personally but as an SC Committee member I think I'd be happier if those sorts of decisions were taken collectively.

I think if you go back a bit Kev then you'll see Steve has indeed confirmed the Chairman will be in attendance too. As for your second point with all due respect its not a supporters club event and one the Directors have decided to hold and Steve has offered to chair therefore no need to involve a collective decision from any of the committee.
