The Club has agreed to rearrange the home fixture against Corinthian-Casuals because they have been invited over to Brazil to play Corinthians that weekend. I believe that it is part of centenary celebrations of a tour that Casuals made to South America back in 1914 and, given the gloriously exceptional circumstances, neither the Ryman League nor the Club wished to deny them such an opportunity.
A match report for last Tuesday's game has not been published because I have not yet written one. Strangely enough, they tend not to appear by magic, and I have had neither the time nor the inclination to put anything together over the course of the last week.
So does that mean the web-site will only get a report when you can be bothered? If so then perhaps giving supporters the chance to do a report may be an appropriate way to go, I would do one a couple of times a season and I am sure others would too.
Chris when people have a full time job combined with family duties football things can't always get done straight away immediately especially after a game like that I gather.
Sean did a perfectly good commentary on twitter for the game and has the other website articles and updates to do around his regular work. At least you offer to write one for him I suppose.
I accept that Dan, but why not ask for someone to do a report if you know your time is going to be short. Not rocket science a match report. A match report should always appear on a clubs official website.

Your comments re only when you can be bothered is out of order Chris. The clubs website is one of the best in non league football and I can't think of a time when a report hasn't been published after a league match. As Dan says Sean's Twitter feed always gives a good account on the match and is very often the basis of Simon Newsteads own match reports for The Observer when he's unable to attend fixtures. It's been said time and time again that Sean, like many more of us at the club is a volunteer and just because once in many years he hasn't had the time to post or write one up doesn't warrant comments such as that.
May I suggest if you haven't done so already you check The Observers website for a report?
I'm certain there's been times in the past when Sean didn't have the inclination to write a report especially when we've played poorly but has written them Chris, my post was regarding your comment of only when you can be bothered to, I and I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that your choice of words are a bit harsh.
Yes Pat it is, but what is difficult about putting a post on this forum asking for a volunteer to do a match report, when you are not able to do one. As I have said I would be prepared to do one on occasions.
Chris, I have asked others for assistance on occasions when I knew that I would not be in attendance. Liam Willis very kindly helped out during the pre-season campaign when I was on holiday, for example.
However, I was at the game last week and saw no obvious reason why I would be unable to write a report within a couple of days, as has typically been the case for the last ten years or so. On this very rare occasion though, daily life has dictated otherwise.
I do find it a little sad that you felt the need to offer such a rebuke, but am genuinely grateful that you have been kind enough to offer your services for the future. I will be sure to take you up on that offer should the need arise, but that most certainly won't simply be because I can't be bothered to write something.
think we have very good website and match report always detail and like the stats bit and follow game on twitter when can not go and by long way in this league and think when we was in premier best website coverage and twitter cover . i take hat of to club volunteer as not sure how i would be able to do volunteer stuff with work and family. and when you see other club sites and like dan say two sentence match report we are lucky
ChrisB, if you wanted to write a section for the programme, you'd be more than welcome. That's, of course, if you can be bothered and can find something positive to say about the Club and it's volunteers.
I would Liam but I don't buy or read programmes, and that is not a dig at you as I don't buy any programmes at any event I go too. But if you give me a subject that is relevant and i am not repeating something then I will do you an article.
