After 2 wins in the league under the new management we will now meet in the FA Trophy :
The Kent side are playing in Ryman North and are currently on place 22 in the table.
They have 16 games played and got 12 points. From their last 10 League and Cup games they won only one, drew 3 and lost 6.
They play : C/O Bromley FC,Hayes Lane,Bromley,Kent
And the U'ssssssssssssss? : after 2 wins and with 7 goals scored we are a little bit more optimistic then 2 weeks ago. The 3 new players Pullan,Hand and Keehan seem to fit in the team very good and Kenny and Sam know how to score.
So it will not be easy but i will go for a 0-2 victory !
I see from today's results, that if we lose to Cray tomorrow we will be without a home league game on Sat 1st November as South Park won today.
And if we do beat Cray (which I think we will) we will be at home to Faversham in the 1st Qualifying Round.
We had better win tomorrow ! My nephew was due over from Germany to see the Guernsey game last week but i his flight was cancelled so he missed it ! Now he has booked up to come over for what he thought was going to be the South Park game ,,he would be happy with Faversham but he's gonna be one unhappy chap if he comes over and there's no game !!

Hmmmm one unhappy nephew !!!! He sent me a message asking how much is it gonna cost him to see this club ? He's not having much luck ,,,,it's a shame because when he's seen us in previous years he has seen us win more often than not ,,,oh well ,,, next time .
Awful, just a different style of awful. We had 20 mins when we were the better side, rest of time we were outplayed by another poor side. Dom really has his work cut out sorting this mess out. We need at least another 4 players probably more.
I'd rather this happened in the Trophy rather than the league in all honesty and feel next Saturdays game is far more important.
Wasn't great aside from a good 20 mins in the 2nd half when we needed to have made what pressure we had count. Too many wrong choices made to often, at least there is a bit of time for for a training session or two with no midweek game to improve on things.
Hear from a few at the ground that there may well be a few more on the way which will be needed. Shame about Bankole not sure why he's gone exactly but good luck to him at Sittingbourne.
'Highlights' will be up at some point but don't expect the first half in particular to feature much!
thought it game of 2 halfs and cray dominated first we did it 2nd half and there goal against run of play. overall poor game on poor muddy pitch did not help the way we were trying to pas ball. both team lack quality but probably Cray wanted it more than us and our performance was like it was a lazy sunday game. thought Tas was best player some decent crosses he put in 2nd half but yes Dom has lot to do and need a right back, striker and creative attacking midfielder. the awful fa trophy record continues
Think I might have nodded off in the first half. Had to be semi-alert for the second half as I was armed with Willett's camera for 'highlights'.
Dullest first half I've ever seen, missed first few minutes of the second half due to wine drinking in the bar - wish I stayed in the bar with more wine as Cray took the lead shortly after I came out. We just seemed to sit back and deep after the first goal went in and had next to no chances for the whole game. Their second was a penalty in the 91st minute.
I know I don't like moaning on the forum and I'm certainly not one to moan, but I couldn't see many positives from the game. Although, when young Sam Cruttwell came on, he whipped a few good balls in. Sam has so much potential that it's a pleasure to see him play. Can't quite work out if his best position is at LB or on the left wing though.
Next home game will be mid-November due to South Park winning their FA Trophy game too.
Thinking about it if I were Dom, I would be looking for a friendly on the south park date, as after today it would appear we need as much game time as possible to get used to the new style of play.
Well Dom has now seen the Good and today - the Bad. First half I can't remember a shot on target from us . Agree with Liam that was possibly the poorest I've seen us ( although there are some close contests). That said - the first twenty minutes of the second half we looked in control and were threatening as has been said . Agree with Peter R that Tas was MOM for me too. Just when I think we were going to get ahead , they go up the other end and score with their second effort of the second half. I still felt at one down we may be able to get back into it it we just faded so quickly after their opener and the penalty killed it completely. Heard rumours of players coming in but no names yet. I think Dom is shrewd enough to know what he wants to do from here.
While clearly we still need to strengthen, the prospect of an influx of EP players, as suggested by Chris, is a high risk strategy from the club's perspective. A large number of players committing to significant travel to play for one man could so easily go horribly wrong and leave the club in dire straights.
Don't mean to be negative...just being realistic about how this COULD work out.
Agree Mick but in my opinion there is something else to take on board. The only thing I disagreed with Dom on at the managers forum was his statement that there is no difference between county one and Ryman south. A season ago I would have agreed but this season I believe things have changed. I have spoke to many supporters this season about this and pretty much everyone has agreed that the quality of this league has improved enormously particularly the pace of sides, something we sadly lack. Not sure if there is a bit of money around but the quality of the opposition this year has been the best for a few years. So whereas a season or so ago it would have been easy for players to step up from East Preston to Hastings im not so sure now how easy they will find it now.
Not sure how happy he is, particularly as they are bottom of the league, but if I was Dom I would be putting in a call to Jack Dixon at Lewes.
According to the Lewes forum Jack Dixon is rumoured to have left, no idea if true or not. However would be a very welcome signing indeed if he did end up back here.
What you need to remember is EP should have been a Ryman side this year, so players ought to be good enough. Especially when mixed with our players who have played a higher level.
If Keehans performances so far are anything to go by - I agree Chris. They are ready for this level. I havent got a problem with getting any player from the county league as long as they are capable of making the step up and then developing further
I totally agree Chris, and let's not forget that EP almost caused an upset in the FA Cup by loosing narrowly to Boreham wood 3-2, on top of that they beat Peacehaven in the previous round in a replay.
Doms knowledge of players within our league and the premier league and even higher is exceptional. He not only has prepared to manage in this league but he has in my opinion the knowledge and is surrounded by an experienced back room staff who have a plan to get us playing attractive, entertaining football. His preparation to games is superb. I'm not surprised EP have achieved so much in such a short time. I do agree with John that this season the league has improved vastly in quality, I don't think this is beyond Dom and the team at all.
I'm not saying that we won't see more EP players arriving at the club, and that's not any inside knowledge but give Dom the benefit in knowing what players he wants and requires.
Steve- no problem with that. It was meant as a comment on the present state of football with managers coming and going at a rapid rate! Could be a good thing for Dom to see how poorly we can play.
Of course all of this is just speculation but the instability factor SHOULD a large number of EP players join us is very real.
Personally I would be happier to see Dom 'cherry pick' only the very best from EP .....and then look elsewhere for other players. I don't really have a problem what LEAGUE new players come from but it is quite hard to believe that an influx of former County League players can really bring us a team that will win promotion. Looking good in a winning team at county level is one thing......being capable of stepping up to Ryman level in an unfamiliar team is a much bigger task.
I totally agree that the standard has definitely improved and we surely must look to a few more 'proven' players if we really want to make an impact.
I have real faith in Dom's footballing ethics and knowledge.....but at such a young age and with only county league experience, getting hold of the right players may be the issue.
Obviously Dom & his team trust the players at EP after his huge success there but I would be surprised to see more than 4 or so in total ( including Keehan & Pullan )
There's certainly two or three guys from there that could do a good job hopefully but like I say would be surprised if we see more than two extra come in initially.
As with Mitchell Hand from Littlehampton I'm sure he knows the gems of County one who can adapt quickly to this league as well as players already at RS & RP.
